    Revista Internacional de Métodos Numéricos para Cálculo y Diseño en Ingeniería, Vol.39, No.4, pp. 1-8, 2023, DOI:10.23967/j.rimni.2023.10.008 - 17 November 2023
Abstract In today’s world, analyzing nonlinear occurrences related to physical phenomena is a hot topic. The main goal of this research is to use the natural decomposition method (NDM) of fractional order to find an approximate solution to the fractional clannish random walker’s parabolic (CRWP) equation. The proposed method gives approximate solutions that are exceptionally near the exact solution without the complication that numerous other techniques imply. Banach’s fixed-point theory is used to investigate the anticipated issue’s convergence analysis and uniqueness theorem. To ensure that the suggested technique is trustworthy and precise, numerical simulations were conducted. More >

    Zuhur Alqahtani1, Ahmed Eissa Hagag2
    Revista Internacional de Métodos Numéricos para Cálculo y Diseño en Ingeniería, Vol.39, No.4, pp. 1-15, 2023, DOI:10.23967/j.rimni.2023.10.003 - 25 October 2023
Abstract This article introduces and illustrates a novel approximation to the compound KdV-Burgers equation. For such a challenge, the q-homotopy analysis transform technique (q-HATM) is a potent approach. The suggested procedure avoids the complexity seen in many other methods and provides an approximation that is extremely near to the exact solution. The uniqueness theorem and convergence analysis of the expected problem are explored with the aid of Banach's fixed-point theory. Through a difference in the fractional derivative, the normal frequency for the fractional solution to this issue changes. All of the discovered solutions are illustrated in More >

    R. Itza Balam1,2, M. Uh Zapata1,2, J. Montalvo-Urquizo3
    Revista Internacional de Métodos Numéricos para Cálculo y Diseño en Ingeniería, Vol.39, No.4, pp. 1-12, 2023, DOI:10.23967/j.rimni.2023.12.002 - 28 December 2023
Abstract This paper introduces a sixth-order Immersed Interface Method (IIM) for addressing 2D Poisson problems characterized by a discontinuous forcing function with straight interfaces. In the presence of this discontinuity, the problem exhibits a non-smooth solution at the interface that divides the domain into two regions. Here, the IIM is employed to compute the solution on a fixed Cartesian grid. This method integrates necessary jump conditions resulting from the interface into the numerical schemes. In order to achieve a sixth-order method, the proposed approach combines implicit finite differences with the IIM. The proposed scheme is efficient More >

Abstract When the Cua Dai bridge is built across the Thu Bon River, it causes a narrowing of the flow leading to scour, which seriously threatens the pier and endangers the structure. In order to limit the influence of scour the bridge, it is necessary to ensure that the scour under the bridge is within the allowable range. At the same time, it is necessary to take measures to limit and overcome the causes of scour. Therefore, the study and prediction of locations that are likely to cause scour are of great significance in choosing effective… More >

Abstract In this study, the Fluent software is utilized to simulate the lateral impact force on a tank during liquid sloshing when the tank is subjected to turns under varying steering accelerations and filling rates. It is observed that at a steering acceleration of 0.5g, the overall force vector pointing in the lateral direction of the tank body significantly increases the likelihood of tipping. A clear trend arises when steering acceleration is held constant; as filling rates range from 0.6 to 0.85, lateral impact forces due to tank liquid sloshing progressively increase with rising filling rates, More >
