    Shaoguan Huang1, Rong Zhang2, Lizhen Liu3,*

    Oncologie, Vol.23, No.1, pp. 159-171, 2021, DOI:10.32604/Oncologie.2021.012489

Abstract Breast cancer is one of malignant severe diseases that cause cancer death in women. Although research about the pathogenesis and studies about treatment mechanisms in breast cancer have become clear focuses, we have no clear conclusion yet. Therefore, this research is based on a modular approach to explore key factors and molecular mechanisms that affect breast cancer metastasis. First of all, it is necessary to download breast cancer-related data on the GEO database, and we analyzed the difference between primary tumors and metastatic lesions to obtain differential gene expression profiles. On this basis, a series of bioinformatics analyses were performed… More >

    Qian Xu1,*, Haitao Wang1,2, Zhenhua Chen3, Zhigang Huang3, Pan Hu1

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.15, No.1, pp. 39-52, 2021, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2021.014815

Abstract Crack detection in an aerospace turbine disk is essential for aircraft- quality detection. With the unique circular stepped structure and superalloy material properties of aerospace turbine disk, it is difficult for the traditional ultrasonic testing method to perform efficient and accurate testing. In this study, ultrasound phased array detection technology was applied to the non-destructive testing of aviation turbine disks: (i) A phased array ultrasonic c-scan device for detecting aerospace turbine disk cracks (PAUDA) was developed which consists of phased array ultrasonic, transducers, a computer, a displacement encoder, and a rotating scanner; (ii) The influence of the detection parameters include… More >

A Symplectic Method of Numerical Simulation on Local Buckling for Cylindrical Long Shells under Axial Pulse Loads

Kecheng Li, Jianlong Qu, Jinqiang Tan, Zhanjun Wu, Xinsheng Xu*

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.15, No.1, pp. 53-67, 2021, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2021.014559

Abstract In this paper, the local buckling of cylindrical long shells is discussed under axial pulse loads in a Hamiltonian system. Using this system, critical loads and modes of buckling of shells are reduced to symplectic eigenvalues and eigensolutions respectively. By the symplectic method, the solution of the local buckling of shells can be employed to the expansion series of symplectic eigensolutions in this system. As a result, relationships between critical buckling loads and other factors, such as length of pulse load, thickness of shells and circumferential orders, have been achieved. At the same time, symmetric and unsymmetric buckling modes have… More >

    Dongyue Gao1, Yunlong Ma2, Zhanjun Wu3,*, Yuebin Zheng3, Hongbo Lu1

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.15, No.1, pp. 23-37, 2021, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2021.013737

Abstract Guided waves based damage detection methods using base signals offer the advantages of simplicity of signal generation and reception, sensitivity to damage, and large area coverage; however, applications of the technology are limited by the sensitivity to environmental temperature variations. In this paper, a Spearman Damage Index-based damage diagnosis method for structural health condition monitoring under varying temperatures is presented. First, a PZT sensor-based Guided wave propagation model is proposed and employed to analyze the temperature effect. The result of the analysis shows the wave speed of the Guided wave signal has higher temperature sensitivity than the signal fluctuation features.… More >

Comparative Analysis of Wavelet Transform for Time-Frequency Analysis and Transient Localization in Structural Health Monitoring

    Ahmed Silik1,2, Mohammad Noori3,*, Wael A. Altabey1,4, Ramin Ghiasi1, Zhishen Wu1

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.15, No.1, pp. 1-22, 2021, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2021.012751

Abstract A critical problem facing data collection in structural health monitoring, for instance via sensor networks, is how to extract the main components and useful features for damage detection. A structural dynamic measurement is more often a complex time-varying process and therefore, is prone to dynamic changes in time-frequency contents. To extract the signal components and capture the useful features associated with damage from such non-stationary signals, a technique that combines the time and frequency analysis and shows the signal evolution in both time and frequency is required. Wavelet analyses have proven to be a viable and effective tool in this… More >
