Image Hiding with High Robustness Based on Dynamic Region Attention in the Wavelet Domain

    Zengxiang Li1, Yongchong Wu2, Alanoud Al Mazroa3, Donghua Jiang4, Jianhua Wu5, Xishun Zhu6,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.141, No.1, pp. 847-869, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2024.051762 - 20 August 2024

Abstract Hidden capacity, concealment, security, and robustness are essential indicators of hiding algorithms. Currently, hiding algorithms tend to focus on algorithmic capacity, concealment, and security but often overlook the robustness of the algorithms. In practical applications, the container can suffer from damage caused by noise, cropping, and other attacks during transmission, resulting in challenging or even impossible complete recovery of the secret image. An image hiding algorithm based on dynamic region attention in the multi-scale wavelet domain is proposed to address this issue and enhance the robustness of hiding algorithms. In this proposed algorithm, a secret… More >

Identification of Damage in Steel‒Concrete Composite Beams Based on Wavelet Analysis and Deep Learning

Chengpeng Zhang, Junfeng Shi*, Caiping Huang

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.18, No.4, pp. 465-483, 2024, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2024.048705 - 05 June 2024

Abstract In this paper, an intelligent damage detection approach is proposed for steel-concrete composite beams based on deep learning and wavelet analysis. To demonstrate the feasibility of this approach, first, following the guidelines provided by relevant standards, steel-concrete composite beams are designed, and six different damage incidents are established. Second, a steel ball is used for free-fall excitation on the surface of the steel-concrete composite beams and a low-temperature-sensitive quasi-distributed long-gauge fiber Bragg grating (FBG) strain sensor is used to obtain the strain signals of the steel-concrete composite beams with different damage types. To reduce the… More >

    Arslan Akram1,2, Javed Rashid2,3,4, Fahima Hajjej5, Sobia Yaqoob1,6, Muhammad Hamid7, Asma Irshad8, Nadeem Sarwar9,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.77, No.1, pp. 1081-1101, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.041558 - 31 October 2023

Abstract Around one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some time. Improved patient outcomes necessitate both early detection and an accurate diagnosis. Histological images are routinely utilized in the process of diagnosing breast cancer. Methods proposed in recent research only focus on classifying breast cancer on specific magnification levels. No study has focused on using a combined dataset with multiple magnification levels to classify breast cancer. A strategy for detecting breast cancer is provided in the context of this investigation. Histopathology image texture data is used with the wavelet transform in this… More >

Fusion of Medical Images in Wavelet Domain: A Hybrid Implementation

    Satya Prakash Yadav1, *, Sachin Yadav2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.122, No.1, pp. 303-321, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.08459 - 01 January 2020

Abstract This paper presents a low intricate, profoundly energy effective MRI Images combination intended for remote visual sensor frameworks which leads to improved understanding and implementation of treatment; especially for radiology. This is done by combining the original picture which leads to a significant reduction in the computation time and frequency. The proposed technique conquers the calculation and energy impediment of low power tools and is examined as far as picture quality and energy is concerned. Reenactments are performed utilizing MATLAB 2018a, to quantify the resultant vitality investment funds and the reproduction results show that the More >

    Nan Pan1, Yi Liu2, Dilin Pan2, Junbing Qian1, Gang Li3

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.25, No.2, pp. 359-366, 2019, DOI:10.31209/2019.100000097

Abstract It will face a lot of problems when using existing image-processing and 3D scanning methods to do the similarity analysis of the line traces, therefore, an effective comparison algorithm is put forward for the purpose of making effective trace analysis and infer the criminal tools. The proposed algorithm applies wavelet decomposition to the line trace 1-D detection signals to partially reduce background noises. After that, the sequence comparison strategy based on wavelet domain DTW is employed to do trace feature similarity matching. Finally, using linear regression machine learning algorithm based on gradient descent method to More >

    C.V. Nastos, T.C. Theodosiou, C.S. Rekatsinas, D.A. Saravanos1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.107, No.5, pp. 379-409, 2015, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2015.107.379

Abstract A computationally efficient numerical method is developed for the prediction of transient response in orthotropic rod and beam structures. The method takes advantage of the outstanding properties of compactly supported Daubechies wavelet scaling functions for the spatial approximation of displacements in a finite domain of the structure, hence is termed Finite Wavelet Domain (FWD) method. The basic principles and advantages of the method are presented and the discretization of the equations of motion is formulated for one-dimensional structures. Numerical results for the simulation of propagating guided waves in rods and strips are presented and compared More >
