Abstract The present investigation is intended to demonstrate the magnetic field, relaxation time, hydrostatic initial stress, and two temperature on the thermal shock problem. The governing equations are formulated in the context of Lord-Shulman theory with the presence of bodily force, two temperatures, thermal shock, and hydrostatic initial stress. We obtained the exact solution using the normal mode technique with appropriate boundary conditions. The field quantities are calculated analytically and displayed graphically under thermal shock problem with effect of external parameters respect to space coordinates. The results obtained are agreeing with the previous results obtained by More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.52, No.1, pp. 1-24, 2016, DOI:10.3970/cmc.2016.052.001

Abstract The present paper is concerned with the wave propagation in a micropolar thermoelastic solid with distinct two temperatures under the effect of the magnetic field in the presence of the gravity field and an internal heat source. The formulation of the problem is applied in the context of the three-phase-lag model and Green-Naghdi theory without dissipation. The medium is a homogeneous isotropic thermoelastic in the half-space. The exact expressions of the considered variables are obtained by using normal mode analysis. Comparisons are made with the results in the two theories in the absence and presence More >
