Fuzzy-TOPSIS Evaluation of Power Product-Service System: A Framework Driven by Big Data

    Xuchang Hu*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.1, pp. 301-314, 2022, DOI:10.32604/EE.2022.014877 - 22 November 2021

Abstract Power product-service system (power PSS), which combines industrial electric products with electric energy services, is an effective solution for power enterprises under the background of the rapid development of power systems. In the life cycle of power PSS, evaluation decision of power PSS alternatives is of great significance for subsequent implementation. To address the power PSS alternative evaluation problem, a power PSS evaluation framework is explored driven by the big data of stakeholder comments. Based on the multi-stakeholder comments of power PSS evaluation decision’s influence factors, the index system is constructed through analyzing and summarizing… More >

Digital Mammogram Inferencing System Using Intuitionistic Fuzzy Theory

    Susmita Mishra1,*, M. Prakash2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.3, pp. 1099-1115, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020439 - 10 November 2021

Abstract In the medical field, the detection of breast cancer may be a mysterious task. Physicians must deduce a conclusion from a significantly vague knowledge base. A mammogram can offer early diagnosis at a low cost if the breasts' satisfactory mammogram images are analyzed. A multi-decision Intuitionistic Fuzzy Evidential Reasoning (IFER) approach is introduced in this paper to deal with imprecise mammogram classification efficiently. The proposed IFER approach combines intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy numbers and inclusion measures to improve representation and reasoning accuracy. The results of the proposed technique are approved through simulation. The simulation is created More >

Generating Type 2 Trapezoidal Fuzzy Membership Function Using Genetic Tuning

Siti Hajar Khairuddin, Mohd Hilmi Hasan*, Emilia Akashah P. Akhir, Manzoor Ahmed Hashmani

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.1, pp. 717-734, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.020666 - 03 November 2021

Abstract Fuzzy inference system (FIS) is a process of fuzzy logic reasoning to produce the output based on fuzzified inputs. The system starts with identifying input from data, applying the fuzziness to input using membership functions (MF), generating fuzzy rules for the fuzzy sets and obtaining the output. There are several types of input MFs which can be introduced in FIS, commonly chosen based on the type of real data, sensitivity of certain rule implied and computational limits. This paper focuses on the construction of interval type 2 (IT2) trapezoidal shape MF from fuzzy C Means… More >

Obtaining Crisp Priorities for Triangular and Trapezoidal Fuzzy Judgments

    Raman Kumar Goyal1, Jaskirat Singh1, Nidhi Kalra1, Anshu Parashar1,*, Gagan Singla2, Sakshi Kaushal2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.1, pp. 157-170, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.018962 - 08 October 2021

Abstract This paper proposes anoptimal fuzzy-based model for obtaining crisp priorities for Fuzzy-AHP comparison matrices. Crisp judgments cannot be given for real-life situations, as most of these include some level of fuzziness and complexity. In these situations, judgments are represented by the set of fuzzy numbers. Most of the fuzzy optimization models derive crisp priorities for judgments represented with Triangular Fuzzy Numbers (TFNs) only. They do not work for other types of Triangular Shaped Fuzzy Numbers (TSFNs) and Trapezoidal Fuzzy Numbers (TrFNs). To overcome this problem, a sum of squared error (SSE) based optimization model is… More >

    D. Gurukumaresan1,*, C. Duraisamy1, R. Srinivasan2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.37, No.3, pp. 415-421, 2021, DOI:10.32604/csse.2021.014130 - 08 March 2021

Abstract In this paper a fuzzy transportation problem under a fuzzy environment is solved using octagonal fuzzy numbers. The transportation problem is significant and has been widely studied in the field of applied mathematics to solve a system of linear equations in many applications in science. Systems of concurrent linear equations play a vital major role in operational research. The main perspective of this research paper is to find out the minimum amount of transportation cost of some supplies through a capacitated network formerly the availability and the demand notes are octagonal fuzzy numbers. Solving Fully Fuzzy Nonlinear Eigenvalue Problems of Damped Spring-Mass Structural Systems Using Novel Fuzzy-Affine Approach

    S. Rout1, S. Chakraverty1,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.121, No.3, pp. 947-980, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2019.08036

Abstract The dynamic analysis of damped structural system by using finite element method leads to nonlinear eigenvalue problem (NEP) (particularly, quadratic eigenvalue problem). In general, the parameters of NEP are considered as exact values. But in actual practice because of different errors and incomplete information, the parameters may have uncertain or vague values and such uncertain values may be considered in terms of fuzzy numbers. This article proposes an efficient fuzzy-affine approach to solve fully fuzzy nonlinear eigenvalue problems (FNEPs) where involved parameters are fuzzy numbers viz. triangular and trapezoidal. Based on the parametric form, fuzzy… More >
