    Meixi Chu1, Xinyu Jiang1,*, Yushu Tao2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.86, No.2, pp. 1-23, 2026, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2025.071533 - 09 December 2025

Abstract Industrial operators need reliable communication in high-noise, safety-critical environments where speech or touch input is often impractical. Existing gesture systems either miss real-time deadlines on resource-constrained hardware or lose accuracy under occlusion, vibration, and lighting changes. We introduce Industrial EdgeSign, a dual-path framework that combines hardware-aware neural architecture search (NAS) with large multimodal model (LMM) guided semantics to deliver robust, low-latency gesture recognition on edge devices. The searched model uses a truncated ResNet50 front end, a dimensional-reduction network that preserves spatiotemporal structure for tubelet-based attention, and localized Transformer layers tuned for on-device inference. CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.86, No.2, pp. 1-23, 2026, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2025.069373 - 09 December 2025

Abstract Traffic flow prediction constitutes a fundamental component of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), playing a pivotal role in mitigating congestion, enhancing route optimization, and improving the utilization efficiency of roadway infrastructure. However, existing methods struggle in complex traffic scenarios due to static spatio-temporal embedding, restricted multi-scale temporal modeling, and weak representation of local spatial interactions. This study proposes Bi-STAT+, an enhanced bidirectional spatio-temporal attention framework to address existing limitations through three principal contributions: (1) an adaptive spatio-temporal embedding module that dynamically adjusts embeddings to capture complex traffic variations; (2) frequency-domain analysis in the temporal dimension for… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.145, No.3, pp. 4153-4177, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2025.073048 - 23 December 2025

Abstract Diabetes imposes a substantial burden on global healthcare systems. Worldwide, nearly half of individuals with diabetes remain undiagnosed, while conventional diagnostic techniques are often invasive, painful, and expensive. In this study, we propose a noninvasive approach for diabetes detection using photoplethysmography (PPG), which is widely integrated into modern wearable devices. First, we derived velocity plethysmography (VPG) and acceleration plethysmography (APG) signals from PPG to construct multi-channel waveform representations. Second, we introduced a novel multiset spatiotemporal feature fusion framework that integrates hand-crafted temporal, statistical, and nonlinear features with recursive feature elimination and deep feature extraction using… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.85, No.2, pp. 2837-2849, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2025.069784 - 23 September 2025

Abstract Deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have demonstrated remarkable performance in video super-resolution (VSR). However, the ability of most existing methods to recover fine details in complex scenes is often hindered by the loss of shallow texture information during feature extraction. To address this limitation, we propose a 3D Convolutional Enhanced Residual Video Super-Resolution Network (3D-ERVSNet). This network employs a forward and backward bidirectional propagation module (FBBPM) that aligns features across frames using explicit optical flow through lightweight SPyNet. By incorporating an enhanced residual structure (ERS) with skip connections, shallow and deep features are effectively integrated,… More >

Localization of False Data Injection Attacks in Power Grid Based on Adaptive Neighborhood Selection and Spatio-Temporal Feature Fusion

Zehui Qi, Sixing Wu*, Jianbin Li

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.85, No.2, pp. 3739-3766, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2025.067180 - 23 September 2025

Abstract False Data Injection Attacks (FDIAs) pose a critical security threat to modern power grids, corrupting state estimation and enabling malicious control actions that can lead to severe consequences, including cascading failures, large-scale blackouts, and significant economic losses. While detecting attacks is important, accurately localizing compromised nodes or measurements is even more critical, as it enables timely mitigation, targeted response, and enhanced system resilience beyond what detection alone can offer. Existing research typically models topological features using fixed structures, which can introduce irrelevant information and affect the effectiveness of feature extraction. To address this limitation, this… More >

    Energy Engineering, Vol.122, No.2, pp. 747-764, 2025, DOI:10.32604/ee.2025.059533 - 31 January 2025

Abstract Harnessing solar power is essential for addressing the dual challenges of global warming and the depletion of traditional energy sources. However, the fluctuations and intermittency of photovoltaic (PV) power pose challenges for its extensive incorporation into power grids. Thus, enhancing the precision of PV power prediction is particularly important. Although existing studies have made progress in short-term prediction, issues persist, particularly in the underutilization of temporal features and the neglect of correlations between satellite cloud images and PV power data. These factors hinder improvements in PV power prediction performance. To overcome these challenges, this paper… More >
