    Real-Time Detection and Instance Segmentation of Strawberry in Unstructured Environment

    Abstract The real-time detection and instance segmentation of strawberries constitute fundamental components in the development of strawberry harvesting robots. Real-time identification of strawberries in an unstructured environment is a challenging task. Current instance segmentation algorithms for strawberries suffer from issues such as poor real-time performance and low accuracy. To this end, the present study proposes an Efficient YOLACT (E-YOLACT) algorithm for strawberry detection and segmentation based on the YOLACT framework.     Abstract

    Strawberry mottle virus (SMoV) and strawberry vein banding virus (SVBV) cause diseases on strawberry plants, but the effect of coinfection of SMoV and SVBV on the growth, development, and defense system of strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa Duchesne) remains unknown. We investigated the effect of SMoV and SVBV co-infection on strawberry cultivar ‘Benihope’.     Abstract It was rarely reported about strawberry vein banding virus (SVBV) genome sequence in China and most countries worldwide. In this work, we determined the complete genome sequences of two SVBV isolates in China, designated SVBV-AH and SVBV-BJ, that were obtained from naturally infected strawberry samples from Anhui province and Beijing city of China, respectively.     Incidence, genomic diversity, and evolution of strawberry mottle virus in China

    Abstract Strawberry mottle virus (SMoV) is one of the most common viruses infecting strawberries, causing losses to fruit yield and quality. In this study, 165 strawberry leaf samples were collected from six provinces of China, 46 of which tested positive for SMoV. The complete genome sequences of 11 SMoV isolates were obtained from Liaoning (DGHY3, DGHY16-2, DGHY17, DGHY20-2, DGHY21, DGHY26-2), Shandong (SDHY1, SDHY5, SDHY31-2, SDHY33-2), and Beijing (BJMX7).     Genome-wide identification and expression analysis of Aux/IAA gene family in strawberry (Fragaria vesca)

    Abstract Auxin signaling and its components (Auxin/Indole-3-Acetic Acid (Aux/IAA)) are critical for plant growth and development. Here, we performed a genome-wide annotation and identified twenty-one Aux/IAA genes in strawberry (Fragaria vesca). Most FveIAAs were located on chromosomes 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6, while no FveIAAs were found in chromosomes 3 and 7. Phylogenetic analysis divided these genes into nine subfamilies.     Abstract In this work, nine different types of edible coating based on pectin, cellulose nanocrystals, glycerol, and essential oil of lemongrass were prepared and used to coat strawberries with a film formed directly on the surface of the coated fruit.
