Weber Law Based Approach for Multi-Class Image Forgery Detection

    Arslan Akram1,3, Javed Rashid2,3,4, Arfan Jaffar1, Fahima Hajjej5, Waseem Iqbal6, Nadeem Sarwar7,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.78, No.1, pp. 145-166, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.041074 - 30 January 2024

Abstract Today’s forensic science introduces a new research area for digital image analysis for multimedia security. So, Image authentication issues have been raised due to the wide use of image manipulation software to obtain an illegitimate benefit or create misleading publicity by using tempered images. Exiting forgery detection methods can classify only one of the most widely used Copy-Move and splicing forgeries. However, an image can contain one or more types of forgeries. This study has proposed a hybrid method for classifying Copy-Move and splicing images using texture information of images in the spatial domain. Firstly, More >

Soft Computing Based Discriminator Model for Glaucoma Diagnosis

    Anisha Rebinth1,*, S. Mohan Kumar2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.42, No.3, pp. 867-880, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.022955 - 08 February 2022

Abstract In this study, a Discriminator Model for Glaucoma Diagnosis (DMGD) using soft computing techniques is presented. As the biomedical images such as fundus images are often acquired in high resolution, the Region of Interest (ROI) for glaucoma diagnosis must be selected at first to reduce the complexity of any system. The DMGD system uses a series of pre-processing; initial cropping by the green channel’s intensity, Spatially Weighted Fuzzy C Means (SWFCM), blood vessel detection and removal by Gaussian Derivative Filters (GDF) and inpainting algorithms. Once the ROI has been selected, the numerical features such as More >

Image Steganography in Spatial Domain: Current Status, Techniques, and Trends

    Adeeb M. Alhomoud*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.27, No.1, pp. 69-88, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.014773 - 07 January 2021

Abstract This research article provides an up-to-date review of spatial-domain steganography. Maintaining the communication as secure as possible when transmitting secret data through any available communication channels is the target of steganography. Currently, image steganography is the most developed field, with several techniques are provided for different image formats. Therefore, the general image steganography including the fundamental concepts, the terminology, and the applications are highlighted in this paper. Further, the paper depicts the essential characteristics between information hiding and cryptography systems. In addition, recent well-known techniques in the spatial-domain steganography, such as LSB and pixel value More >
