Abstract This paper presents a radio optical network simulation tool (RONST) for modeling optical-wireless systems. For a typical optical and electrical chain environment, performance should be optimized concurrently before system implementation. As a result, simulating such systems turns out to be a multidisciplinary problem. The governing equations are incompatible with co-simulation in the traditional environments of existing software (SW) packages. The ultra-wideband (UWB) technology is an ideal candidate for providing high-speed short-range access for wireless services. The limited wireless reach of this technology is a significant limitation. A feasible solution to the problem of extending UWB… More >

Technology Provides Better Document Search Results on Slovak Legislation Webpage as Result of a Simulation of Webpage Performance Parameters

    Peter Kvasnica*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.67, No.1, pp. 159-170, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.013587 - 12 January 2021

Abstract This article acquaints the public with the insights gained from conducting document searches in the Slovak public administration information system, when supported by knowledge of its management. Additionally, it discusses the advantages of simulating performance parameters and comparing the obtained results with the real parameters of the eZbierka (eCollection) legislation webpage. This comparison was based upon simulated results, obtained through the Gatling simulation tool, versus those obtained from measuring the properties of the public administration legislation webpage. Both sets of data (simulated and real), were generated via the the document search technologies in place on… More >

Abstract Computer aided design of powerful gyrotrons for electron cyclotron resonance heating and current drive of fusion plasmas requires adequate physical models and efficient software packages for analysis, comparison and optimization of their electron-optical systems through numerical experiments. In this paper, we present and discuss the current status of the simulation tools available to the researchers involved in the development of multi-megawatt gyrotrons for the ITER project, review some of their recent upgrades and formulate directions for further modifications and improvements. Illustrative examples used represent results from recent numerical investigations of real constructions. Some physical problems More >
