    Wenlong Zhu1,*, Yu Miao1, Shuangshuang Yang2, Zuozheng Lian1, Lianhe Cui1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.2, pp. 3111-3131, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.036159

Abstract Influence maximization of temporal social networks (IMT) is a problem that aims to find the most influential set of nodes in the temporal network so that their information can be the most widely spread. To solve the IMT problem, we propose an influence maximization algorithm based on an improved K-shell method, namely improved K-shell in temporal social networks (KT). The algorithm takes into account the global and local structures of temporal social networks. First, to obtain the kernel value Ks of each node, in the global scope, it layers the network according to the temporal characteristic of nodes by improving… More >

Salvatore Brischetto*, Roberto Torre, Domenico Cesare

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.3, pp. 2551-2594, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.026312

Abstract This new work aims to develop a full coupled thermomechanical method including both the temperature profile and displacements as primary unknowns of the model. This generic full coupled 3D exact shell model permits the thermal stress investigation of laminated isotropic, composite and sandwich structures. Cylindrical and spherical panels, cylinders and plates are analyzed in orthogonal mixed curved reference coordinates. The 3D equilibrium relations and the 3D Fourier heat conduction equation for spherical shells are coupled and they trivially can be simplified in those for plates and cylindrical panels. The exponential matrix methodology is used to find the solutions of a… More >

Abstract Implementation of biofloc technology (BFT) system in aquaculture industry shows high productivity, low feed conversion ratio, and an optimum culture environment. This study was divided into two phases. The first phase involved maintaining the water quality using the optimum carbon-to-nitrogen ratio by manipulating pH in culture water. The second phase examined the performance of harvesting biofloc (remaining phytoplankton and suspended solids in the system) using chicken eggshell powder (CESP). This study showed that pH 7 to 8 were the best biofloc performance with high removal percentage of ammonia (>99%) with a remaining ammonia concentration of 0.016 mg L−1 and 0.018… More > Graphic Abstract

JShellDetector: A Java Fileless Webshell Detector Based on Program Analysis

Xuyan Song, Yiting Qin, Xinyao Liu, Baojiang Cui*, Junsong Fu

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.1, pp. 2061-2078, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.034505

Abstract Fileless webshell attacks against Java web applications have become more frequent in recent years as Java has gained market share. Webshell is a malicious script that can remotely execute commands and invade servers. It is widely used in attacks against web applications. In contrast to traditional file-based webshells, fileless webshells leave no traces on the hard drive, which means they are invisible to most antivirus software. To make matters worse, although there are some studies on fileless webshells, almost all of them are aimed at web applications developed in the PHP language. The complex mechanism of Java makes researchers face… More >

    Qunbiao Wu1, Zhen Wang1,*, Haifeng Fang1, Junji Chen1, Xinfeng Wan2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 961-979, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.036239

Abstract For surface defects in electronic water pump shells, the manual detection efficiency is low, prone to misdetection and leak detection, and encounters problems, such as uncertainty. To improve the speed and accuracy of surface defect detection, a lightweight detection method based on an improved YOLOv5s method is proposed to replace the traditional manual detection methods. In this method, the MobileNetV3 module replaces the backbone network of YOLOv5s, depth-separable convolution is introduced, the parameters and calculations are reduced, and CIoU_Loss is used as the loss function of the boundary box regression to improve its detection accuracy. 3D Object Detection with Attention: Shell-Based Modeling

    Xiaorui Zhang1,2,3,4,*, Ziquan Zhao1, Wei Sun4,5, Qi Cui6

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 537-550, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.034230

Abstract LIDAR point cloud-based 3D object detection aims to sense the surrounding environment by anchoring objects with the Bounding Box (BBox). However, under the three-dimensional space of autonomous driving scenes, the previous object detection methods, due to the pre-processing of the original LIDAR point cloud into voxels or pillars, lose the coordinate information of the original point cloud, slow detection speed, and gain inaccurate bounding box positioning. To address the issues above, this study proposes a new two-stage network structure to extract point cloud features directly by PointNet++, which effectively preserves the original point cloud coordinate information. To improve the detection… More >

A Geometrically Exact Triangular Shell Element Based on Reproducing Kernel DMS-Splines

    Hanjiang Chang1,2,*, Qiang Tian1, Haiyan Hu1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.1, pp. 825-860, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.022774

Abstract To model a multibody system composed of shell components, a geometrically exact Kirchhoff-Love triangular shell element is proposed. The middle surface of the shell element is described by using the DMS-splines, which can exactly represent arbitrary topology piecewise polynomial triangular surfaces. The proposed shell element employs only nodal displacement and can automatically maintain C1 continuity properties at the element boundaries. A reproducing DMS-spline kernel skill is also introduced to improve computation stability and accuracy. The proposed triangular shell element based on reproducing kernel DMS-splines can achieve an almost optimal convergent rate. Finally, the proposed shell element is validated via three… More > Graphic Abstract

Abstract An rGO−like carbon compound has been synthesized from biomass, i.e., old coconut shell, by a carbonization process followed by heating at 400°C for 5 h. The nitrogen doping was achieved by adding the urea (CH4N2O) and stirring at 70°C for 14 h. The morphology and structure of the rGO-like carbon were investigated by electron microscopies and Raman spectroscopy. The presence of C-N functional groups was analyzed by Fourier transform infrared and synchrotron X-ray photoemission spectroscopy, while the particle and the specific capacitance were measured by particle sizer and cyclic voltammetry. The highest specific capacitance of 72.78 F/g is achieved by… More > Graphic Abstract

Abstract Chitin is the second most abundant polysaccharide, produced mainly as an industrial waste stream during crustacean processing. Chitin can be derived into chitosan through the deacetylation process. Conversion of shrimp waste into chitosan via the deacetylation process could be considered a practical approach for shell waste remediation. In this study, chitosan’s physicochemical characteristics extracted from two types of Pacific white leg shrimp, L. vannamei’s shell (i.e., rough and smooth), were compared with commercial chitosan. The yield, moisture, ash, solubility, water and fat binding capacity were measured. The degree of deacetylation (DDA) was calculated using FTIR, and their chemical Structure was… More > Graphic Abstract
