Data Secure Storage Mechanism for IIoT Based on Blockchain

    Jin Wang1,2, Guoshu Huang1, R. Simon Sherratt3, Ding Huang4, Jia Ni4,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.78, No.3, pp. 4029-4048, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.047468 - 26 March 2024

Abstract With the development of Industry 4.0 and big data technology, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is hampered by inherent issues such as privacy, security, and fault tolerance, which pose certain challenges to the rapid development of IIoT. Blockchain technology has immutability, decentralization, and autonomy, which can greatly improve the inherent defects of the IIoT. In the traditional blockchain, data is stored in a Merkle tree. As data continues to grow, the scale of proofs used to validate it grows, threatening the efficiency, security, and reliability of blockchain-based IIoT. Accordingly, this paper first analyzes the… More >

A Lightweight Approach (BL-DAC) to Secure Storage Sharing in Cloud-IoT Environments

Zakariae Dlimi*, Abdellah Ezzati, Said Ben Alla

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.47, No.1, pp. 79-103, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.037099 - 26 May 2023

Abstract The growing advent of the Internet of Things (IoT) users is driving the adoption of cloud computing technologies. The integration of IoT in the cloud enables storage and computational capabilities for IoT users. However, security has been one of the main concerns of cloud-integrated IoT. Existing work attempts to address the security concerns of cloud-integrated IoT through authentication, access control, and blockchain-based methods. However, existing frameworks are somewhat limited by scalability, privacy, and centralized structures. To mitigate the existing problems, we propose a blockchain-based distributed access control method for secure storage in the IoT cloud… More >

A Blockchain-Based Framework for Secure Storage and Sharing of Resumes

    Huanrong Tang1, Changlin Hu1, Tianming Liu2, Jianquan Ouyang1,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.3, pp. 5395-5413, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.028284 - 21 April 2022

Abstract In response to problems in the centralized storage of personal resumes on third-party recruitment platforms, such as inadequate privacy protection, inability of individuals to accurately authorize downloads, and inability to determine who downloaded the resume and when, this study proposes a blockchain-based framework for secure storage and sharing of resumes. Users can employ an authorized access mechanism to protect their privacy rights. The proposed framework uses smart contracts, interplanetary file system, symmetric encryption, and digital signatures to protect, verify, and share resumes. Encryption keys are split and stored in multiple depositories through secret-sharing technology to… More >

DNA Sequence Analysis for Brain Disorder Using Deep Learning and Secure Storage

    Ala Saleh Alluhaidan*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.3, pp. 5949-5962, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.022028 - 14 January 2022

Abstract Analysis of brain disorder in the neuroimaging of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Computed Tomography (CT) needs to understand the functionalities of the brain and it has been performed using traditional methods. Deep learning algorithms have also been applied in genomics data processing. The brain disorder diseases of Alzheimer, Schizophrenia, and Parkinson are analyzed in this work. The main issue in the traditional algorithm is the improper detection of disorders in the neuroimaging data. This paper presents a deep learning algorithm for the classification of brain disorder using Deep Belief Network… More >

Distributed Secure Storage Scheme Based on Sharding Blockchain

    Jin Wang1,2, Chenchen Han1, Xiaofeng Yu3,*, Yongjun Ren4, R. Simon Sherratt5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.3, pp. 4485-4502, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.020648 - 11 October 2021

Abstract Distributed storage can store data in multiple devices or servers to improve data security. However, in today's explosive growth of network data, traditional distributed storage scheme is faced with some severe challenges such as insufficient performance, data tampering, and data lose. A distributed storage scheme based on blockchain has been proposed to improve security and efficiency of traditional distributed storage. Under this scheme, the following improvements have been made in this paper. This paper first analyzes the problems faced by distributed storage. Then proposed to build a new distributed storage blockchain scheme with sharding blockchain.… More >

Data Secure Storage Mechanism of Sensor Networks Based on Blockchain

    Jin Wang1, 2, Wencheng Chen1, Lei Wang3, *, R. Simon Sherratt4, Osama Alfarraj5, Amr Tolba5, 6

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.3, pp. 2365-2384, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.011567 - 16 September 2020

Abstract As the number of sensor network application scenarios continues to grow, the security problems inherent in this approach have become obstacles that hinder its wide application. However, it has attracted increasing attention from industry and academia. The blockchain is based on a distributed network and has the characteristics of nontampering and traceability of block data. It is thus naturally able to solve the security problems of the sensor networks. Accordingly, this paper first analyzes the security risks associated with data storage in the sensor networks, then proposes using blockchain technology to ensure that data storage… More >
