Gang Wang*, Yuedong Wu, Xiaoyi Qian, Yi Zhao

    Energy Engineering, Vol.121, No.11, pp. 3417-3435, 2024, DOI:10.32604/ee.2024.052268 - 21 October 2024

Abstract A robust scheduling optimization method for wind–fire storage system distribution based on the mixed carbon trading mechanism is proposed to improve the rationality of carbon emission quota allocation while reducing the instability of large-scale wind power access systems. A hybrid carbon trading mechanism that combines short-term and long-term carbon trading is constructed, and a fuzzy set based on Wasserstein measurement is proposed to address the uncertainty of wind power access. Moreover, a robust scheduling optimization method for wind–fire storage systems is formed. Results of the multi scenario comparative analysis of practical cases show that the More >

    Hongliang Zhang1,2, Yi Chen1, Yuteng Zhang1, Gongjie Xu3,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.140, No.2, pp. 1459-1483, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2024.049756 - 20 May 2024

Abstract The distributed flexible job shop scheduling problem (DFJSP) has attracted great attention with the growth of the global manufacturing industry. General DFJSP research only considers machine constraints and ignores worker constraints. As one critical factor of production, effective utilization of worker resources can increase productivity. Meanwhile, energy consumption is a growing concern due to the increasingly serious environmental issues. Therefore, the distributed flexible job shop scheduling problem with dual resource constraints (DFJSP-DRC) for minimizing makespan and total energy consumption is studied in this paper. To solve the problem, we present a multi-objective mathematical model for… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.135, No.3, pp. 1863-1900, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.022287 - 23 November 2022

Abstract Cloud computing technology is favored by users because of its strong computing power and convenient services. At the same time, scheduling performance has an extremely efficient impact on promoting carbon neutrality. Currently, scheduling research in the multi-cloud environment aims to address the challenges brought by business demands to cloud data centers during peak hours. Therefore, the scheduling problem has promising application prospects under the multi-cloud environment. This paper points out that the currently studied scheduling problems in the multi-cloud environment mainly include independent task scheduling and workflow task scheduling based on the dependencies between tasks. CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.134, No.3, pp. 2073-2091, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.021433 - 20 September 2022

Abstract As a typical transportation tool in the intelligent manufacturing system, Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) plays an indispensable role in the automatic production process of the workshop. Therefore, integrating AGV resources into production scheduling has become a research hotspot. For the scheduling problem of the flexible job shop adopting segmented AGV, a dual-resource scheduling optimization mathematical model of machine tools and AGVs is established by minimizing the maximum completion time as the objective function, and an improved genetic algorithm is designed to solve the problem in this study. The algorithm designs a two-layer coding method based More > Graphic Abstract

The Cloud Manufacturing Resource Scheduling Optimization Method Based on Game Theory

    Xiaoxuan Yang*, Zhou Fang

    Journal on Artificial Intelligence, Vol.4, No.4, pp. 229-243, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jai.2022.035368 - 25 May 2023

Abstract In order to optimize resource integration and optimal scheduling problems in the cloud manufacturing environment, this paper proposes to use load balancing, service cost and service quality as optimization goals for resource scheduling, however, resource providers have resource utilization requirements for cloud manufacturing platforms. In the process of resource optimization scheduling, the interests of all parties have conflicts of interest, which makes it impossible to obtain better optimization results for resource scheduling. Therefore, a multithreaded auto-negotiation method based on the Stackelberg game is proposed to resolve conflicts of interest in the process of resource scheduling.… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.3, pp. 4339-4356, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.022824 - 21 April 2022

Abstract Cloud computing is currently dominated within the space of high-performance distributed computing and it provides resource polling and on-demand services through the web. So, task scheduling problem becomes a very important analysis space within the field of a cloud computing environment as a result of user's services demand modification dynamically. The main purpose of task scheduling is to assign tasks to available processors to produce minimum schedule length without violating precedence restrictions. In heterogeneous multiprocessor systems, task assignments and schedules have a significant impact on system operation. Within the heuristic-based task scheduling algorithm, the different… More >

Abstract Production scheduling involves all activities of building production schedules, including coordinating and assigning activities to each person, group of people, or machine and arranging work orders in each workplace. Production scheduling must solve all problems such as minimizing customer wait time, storage costs, and production time; and effectively using the enterprise’s human resources. This paper studies the application of flexible job shop modelling on scheduling a woven labelling process. The labelling process includes several steps which are handled in different work-stations. Each workstation is also comprised of several identical parallel machines. In this study, job… More >
