Robot Vision over CosGANs to Enhance Performance with Source-Free Domain Adaptation Using Advanced Loss Function

    Laviza Falak Naz1, Rohail Qamar2,*, Raheela Asif1, Muhammad Imran2, Saad Ahmed3

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.39, No.5, pp. 855-887, 2024, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2024.055074 - 31 October 2024

Abstract Domain shift is when the data used in training does not match the ones it will be applied to later on under similar conditions. Domain shift will reduce accuracy in results. To prevent this, domain adaptation is done, which adapts the pre-trained model to the target domain. In real scenarios, the availability of labels for target data is rare thus resulting in unsupervised domain adaptation. Herein, we propose an innovative approach where source-free domain adaptation models and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) are integrated to improve the performance of computer vision or robotic vision-based systems in… More >

Deep Learning-Based 3D Instance and Semantic Segmentation: A Review

    Siddiqui Muhammad Yasir1, Hyunsik Ahn2,*

    Journal on Artificial Intelligence, Vol.4, No.2, pp. 99-114, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jai.2022.031235 - 18 July 2022

Abstract The process of segmenting point cloud data into several homogeneous areas with points in the same region having the same attributes is known as 3D segmentation. Segmentation is challenging with point cloud data due to substantial redundancy, fluctuating sample density and lack of apparent organization. The research area has a wide range of robotics applications, including intelligent vehicles, autonomous mapping and navigation. A number of researchers have introduced various methodologies and algorithms. Deep learning has been successfully used to a spectrum of 2D vision domains as a prevailing A.I. methods. However, due to the specific… More >

Intelligent Service Robot Vision Control Using Embedded System

    Li-Hong Juang1, Shengxiang Zhang2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.25, No.3, pp. 451-458, 2019, DOI:10.31209/2019.100000126

Abstract Intelligent robots are the combination of computer engineering, software engineering, control engineering, electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, and systems design engineering in order to design, and manufacture useful products. In this paper, the author derives some novel computing and algorithm applications on computer vision and image processing and intelligent control and navigation of mobile robots for the intelligent service robot system. In this paper, we proposed an idea of flexible design for a intelligent service robot, which refers to a single robot with a variety of flexure structure. We presented an integrated system for vision-guided finding More >
