    Chinese Adaptation and Psychometric Properties of the Belief in a Just World Scale for College Students

    Abstract This study aims to revise the Belief in a Just World Scale (BJWS) for Chinese college students and test its reliability and validity (construct validity, convergent and divergent validity). Two samples of 546 and 595 college students were selected, respectively, using stratified cluster random sampling. Item analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), reliability analysis and convergent and divergent validity tests were carried out.     Abstract Host cardinality estimation is an important research field in network management and network security. The host cardinality estimation algorithm based on the linear estimator array is a common method. Existing algorithms do not take memory footprint into account when selecting the number of estimators used by each host.     Abstract An important study in species of the genus Eupatorium, that inhabits other parts of the world, was conducted in the search for new molecules with pharmacological activities, thus showing that it is a potential source of novel secondary metabolites. We reviewed the number of Eupatorium species that have been described in the State of Michoacan, and that can be available for harvesting, to make a phytochemical screening.     A Revision of Relaxed Steepest Descent Method from the Dynamics on an Invariant Manifold

    Abstract Based-on the ordinary differential equations defined on an invariant manifold, we propose a theoretical procedure to derive a Relaxed Steepest Descent Method (RSDM) for numerically solving an ill-posed system of linear equations when the data are polluted by random noise. The invariant manifold is defined in terms of a squared-residual-norm and a fictitious time-like variable, and in the final stage we can derive an iterative algorithm including a parameter, which is known as the relaxation parameter.
