An Efficient Heterogeneous Ring Signcryption Scheme for Wireless Body Area Networks

Qingqing Ning, Chunhua Jin*, Zhiwei Chen, Yongliang Xu, Huaqi Lu

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.47, No.2, pp. 2061-2078, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.040483 - 28 July 2023

Abstract Wireless body area networks (WBANs) are an emerging technology for the real-time monitoring of physiological signals. WBANs provide a mechanism for collecting, storing, and transmitting physiological data to healthcare providers. However, the open wireless channel and limited resources of sensors bring security challenges. To ensure physiological data security, this paper provides an efficient Certificateless Public Key Infrastructure Heterogeneous Ring Signcryption (CP-HRSC) scheme, in which sensors are in a certificateless cryptosystem (CLC) environment, and the server is in a public key infrastructure (PKI) environment. CLC could solve the limitations of key escrow in identity-based cryptography (IBC)… More >

NTRU_ SSS: Anew Method Signcryption Post Quantum Cryptography Based on Shamir’s Secret Sharing

Asma Ibrahim Hussein1,*, Abeer Tariq MaoLood2, Ekhlas Khalaf Gbashi2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.76, No.1, pp. 753-769, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.039804 - 08 June 2023

Abstract With the advent of quantum computing, numerous efforts have been made to standardize post-quantum cryptosystems with the intention of (eventually) replacing Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) and Rivets-Shamir-Adelman (RSA). A modified version of the traditional N-Th Degree Truncated Polynomial Ring (NTRU) cryptosystem called NTRU Prime has been developed to reduce the attack surface. In this paper, the Signcryption scheme was proposed, and it is most efficient than others since it reduces the complexity and runs the time of the code execution, and at the same time, provides a better security degree since it ensures the integrity… More >

Multivariate Broadcast Encryption with Group Key Algorithm for Secured IoT

    M. Suresh Kumar1,*, T. Purosothaman2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.1, pp. 925-938, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.027315 - 16 August 2022

Abstract The expanding and ubiquitous availability of the Internet of Things (IoT) have changed everyone’s life easier and more convenient. Same time it also offers a number of issues, such as effectiveness, security, and excessive power consumption, which constitute a danger to intelligent IoT-based apps. Group managing is primarily used for transmitting and multi-pathing communications that are secured with a general group key and it can only be decrypted by an authorized group member. A centralized trustworthy system, which is in charge of key distribution and upgrades, is used to maintain group keys. To provide longitudinal… More >

Hyper Elliptic Curve Based Certificateless Signcryption Scheme for Secure IIoT Communications

Usman Ali1,2, Mohd Yamani Idna Idris1,3,*, Jaroslav Frnda4, Mohamad Nizam Bin Ayub1, Roobaea Alroobaea5, Fahad Almansour6, Nura Modi Shagari1, Insaf Ullah7, Ihsan Ali1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.2, pp. 2515-2532, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.019800 - 07 December 2021

Abstract Industrial internet of things (IIoT) is the usage of internet of things (IoT) devices and applications for the purpose of sensing, processing and communicating real-time events in the industrial system to reduce the unnecessary operational cost and enhance manufacturing and other industrial-related processes to attain more profits. However, such IoT based smart industries need internet connectivity and interoperability which makes them susceptible to numerous cyber-attacks due to the scarcity of computational resources of IoT devices and communication over insecure wireless channels. Therefore, this necessitates the design of an efficient security mechanism for IIoT environment. In… More >

Incentive-Driven Approach for Misbehavior Avoidance in Vehicular Networks

    Shahid Sultan1, Qaisar Javaid1, Eid Rehman2,*, Ahmad Aziz Alahmadi3, Nasim Ullah3, Wakeel Khan4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.3, pp. 6089-6106, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.021374 - 11 October 2021

Abstract For efficient and robust information exchange in the vehicular ad-hoc network, a secure and trusted incentive reward is needed to avoid and reduce the intensity of misbehaving nodes and congestion especially in the case where the periodic beacons exploit the channel. In addition, we cannot be sure that all vehicular nodes eagerly share their communication assets to the system for message dissemination without any rewards. Unfortunately, there may be some misbehaving nodes and due to their selfish and greedy approach, these nodes may not help others on the network. To deal with this challenge, trust-based… More >

Secure Information Access Strategy for a Virtual Data Centre

    Sivaranjani Balakrishnan1,∗, D. Surendran2,†

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.35, No.5, pp. 357-366, 2020, DOI:10.32604/csse.2020.35.357

Abstract With the arrival of on-demand computing, data centre requirements are extensive, with fluid boundaries. Loaded Internet applications, service-oriented architectures, virtualization and security provisioning are the major operations of a data centre. Security is an absolute necessity of any network architecture, and the virtual IT data centre is no exception. At the boundary, security is focused on securing the terminals of the data centre from external threats and providing a secure gateway to the Internet. The paradigm shift towards a new computing environment makes communications more complicated for Infrastructure Providers (InP). This complexity includes the security… More >

A New NTRU-Type Public-Key Cryptosystem over the Binary Field

    Youyu Gu1, Xiongwei Xie2, Chunsheng Gu3,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.60, No.1, pp. 305-316, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.04121

Abstract As the development of cloud computing and the convenience of wireless sensor netowrks, smart devices are widely used in daily life, but the security issues of the smart devices have not been well resolved. In this paper, we present a new NTRU-type public-key cryptosystem over the binary field. Specifically, the security of our scheme relies on the computational intractability of an unbalanced sparse polynomial ratio problem (DUSPR). Through theoretical analysis, we prove the correctness of our proposed cryptosystem. Furthermore, we implement our scheme using the NTL library, and conduct a group of experiments to evaluate More >
