Abstract The current research aims to implement the numerical results for the Holling third kind of functional response delay differential model utilizing a stochastic framework based on Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagation neural networks (LVMBPNNs). The nonlinear model depends upon three dynamics, prey, predator, and the impact of the recent past. Three different cases based on the delay differential system with the Holling 3rd type of the functional response have been used to solve through the proposed LVMBPNNs solver. The statistic computing framework is provided by selecting 12%, 11%, and 77% for training, testing, and verification. Thirteen numbers of neurons More >

Abstract The aim of these investigations is to find the numerical performances of the delay differential two-prey and one-predator system. The delay differential models are very significant and always difficult to solve the dynamical kind of ecological nonlinear two-prey and one-predator system. Therefore, a stochastic numerical paradigm based artificial neural network (ANN) along with the Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagation (L-MB) neural networks (NNs), i.e., L-MBNNs is proposed to solve the dynamical two-prey and one-predator model. Three different cases based on the dynamical two-prey and one-predator system have been discussed to check the correctness of the L-MBNNs. The statistic More >

Stability and Bifurcation of a Prey-Predator System with Additional Food and Two Discrete Delays

    Ankit Kumar, Balram Dubey*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.126, No.2, pp. 505-547, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.013206 - 21 January 2021

Abstract In this paper, the impact of additional food and two discrete delays on the dynamics of a prey-predator model is investigated. The interaction between prey and predator is considered as Holling Type-II functional response. The additional food is provided to the predator to reduce its dependency on the prey. One delay is the gestation delay in predator while the other delay is the delay in supplying the additional food to predators. The positivity, boundedness and persistence of the solutions of the system are studied to show the system as biologically well-behaved. The existence of steady… More >

Abstract In this study, we have proposed an artificial neural network (ANN) model to estimate and forecast the number of confirmed and recovered cases of COVID-19 in the upcoming days until September 17, 2020. The proposed model is based on the existing data (training data) published in the Saudi Arabia Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation—Demographics. The Prey-Predator algorithm is employed for the training. Multilayer perceptron neural network (MLPNN) is used in this study. To improve the performance of MLPNN, we determined the parameters of MLPNN using the prey-predator algorithm (PPA). The proposed model is called the MLPNN–PPA. More >
