Prediction of Bandwidth of Metamaterial Antenna Using Pearson Kernel-Based Techniques

    Sherly Alphonse1,*, S. Abinaya1, Sourabh Paul2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.78, No.3, pp. 3449-3467, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.046403 - 26 March 2024

Abstract The use of metamaterial enhances the performance of a specific class of antennas known as metamaterial antennas. The radiation cost and quality factor of the antenna are influenced by the size of the antenna. Metamaterial antennas allow for the circumvention of the bandwidth restriction for small antennas. Antenna parameters have recently been predicted using machine learning algorithms in existing literature. Machine learning can take the place of the manual process of experimenting to find the ideal simulated antenna parameters. The accuracy of the prediction will be primarily dependent on the model that is used. In… More >

Assessment of Dependent Performance Shaping Factors in SPAR-H Based on Pearson Correlation Coefficient

    Xiaoyan Su1,*, Shuwen Shang1, Zhihui Xu2, Hong Qian1, Xiaolei Pan1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.138, No.2, pp. 1813-1826, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.030957 - 17 November 2023

Abstract With the improvement of equipment reliability, human factors have become the most uncertain part in the system. The standardized Plant Analysis of Risk-Human Reliability Analysis (SPAR-H) method is a reliable method in the field of human reliability analysis (HRA) to evaluate human reliability and assess risk in large complex systems. However, the classical SPAR-H method does not consider the dependencies among performance shaping factors (PSFs), which may cause overestimation or underestimation of the risk of the actual situation. To address this issue, this paper proposes a new method to deal with the dependencies among PSFs More > Graphic Abstract

Shrinkage Linear with Quadratic Gaussian Discriminant Analysis for Big Data Classification

    R. S. Latha1, K. Venkatachalam2, Jehad F. Al-Amri3, Mohamed Abouhawwash4,5,*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.34, No.3, pp. 1803-1818, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.024539 - 25 May 2022

Abstract Generation of massive data is increasing in big data industries due to the evolution of modern technologies. The big data industries include data source from sensors, Internet of Things, digital and social media. In particular, these big data systems consist of data extraction, preprocessing, integration, analysis, and visualization mechanism. The data encountered from the sources are redundant, incomplete and conflict. Moreover, in real time applications, it is a tedious process for the interpretation of all the data from different sources. In this paper, the gathered data are preprocessed to handle the issues such as redundant,… More >

An IoT Based Secure Patient Health Monitoring System

    Kusum Yadav1, Ali Alharbi1, Anurag Jain2,*, Rabie A. Ramadan1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.2, pp. 3637-3652, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.020614 - 27 September 2021

Abstract Internet of things (IoT) field has emerged due to the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and communication technologies. The use of IoT technology in modern healthcare environments is convenient for doctors and patients as it can be used in real-time monitoring of patients, proper administration of patient information, and healthcare management. However, the usage of IoT in the healthcare domain will become a nightmare if patient information is not securely maintained while transferring over an insecure network or storing at the administrator end. In this manuscript, the authors have developed a secure IoT healthcare monitoring system… More >
