Improved Multi-Path Routing for QoS on MANET

    M. Vargheese1,*, Surbhi Bhatia2, Shakila Basheer3, Pankaj Dadheech4

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.3, pp. 2521-2536, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.031476 - 21 December 2022

Abstract A Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) is a self-configuring network that is not reliant on infrastructure. This paper introduces a new multipath routing method based on the Multi-Hop Routing (MHR) technique. MHR is the consecutive selection of suitable relay nodes to send information across nodes that are not within direct range of each other. Failing to ensure good MHR leads to several negative consequences, ultimately causing unsuccessful data transmission in a MANET. This research work consists of three portions. The first to attempt to propose an efficient MHR protocol is the design of Priority Based… More >

An Improved Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization Routing on MANET

    G. Rajeshkumar1,*, M. Vinoth Kumar2, K. Sailaja Kumar3, Surbhi Bhatia4, Arwa Mashat5, Pankaj Dadheech6

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 1187-1200, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.026137 - 15 June 2022

Abstract A Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a group of low-power consumption of wireless mobile nodes that configure a wireless network without the assistance of any existing infrastructure/centralized organization. The primary aim of MANETs is to extend flexibility into the self-directed, mobile, and wireless domain, in which a cluster of autonomous nodes forms a MANET routing system. An Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is a tool that examines a network for malicious behavior/policy violations. A network monitoring system is often used to report/gather any suspicious attacks/violations. An IDS is a software program or hardware system that… More >

Cross-Layer Hidden Markov Analysis for Intrusion Detection

    K. Venkatachalam1, P. Prabu2, B. Saravana Balaji3, Byeong-Gwon Kang4, Yunyoung Nam4,*, Mohamed Abouhawwash5,6

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.2, pp. 3685-3700, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.019502 - 27 September 2021

Abstract Ad hoc mobile cloud computing networks are affected by various issues, like delay, energy consumption, flexibility, infrastructure, network lifetime, security, stability, data transition, and link accomplishment. Given the issues above, route failure is prevalent in ad hoc mobile cloud computing networks, which increases energy consumption and delay and reduces stability. These issues may affect several interconnected nodes in an ad hoc mobile cloud computing network. To address these weaknesses, which raise many concerns about privacy and security, this study formulated clustering-based storage and search optimization approaches using cross-layer analysis. The proposed approaches were formed by cross-layer analysis based… More >

Implementation of K-Means Algorithm and Dynamic Routing Protocol in VANET

    Manoj Sindhwani1, Charanjeet Singh1,*, Rajeshwar Singh2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.40, No.2, pp. 455-467, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.018498 - 09 September 2021

Abstract With the growth of Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks, many services delivery is gaining more attention from the intelligent transportation system. However, mobility characteristics of vehicular networks cause frequent disconnection of routes, especially during the delivery of data. In both developed and developing countries, a lot of time is consumed due to traffic congestion. This has significant negative consequences, including driver stress due to increased time demand, decreased productivity for various personalized and commercial vehicles, and increased emissions of hazardous gases especially air polluting gases are impacting public health in highly populated areas. Clustering is one of… More >

Wireless Underground Sensor Networks Channel Using Energy Efficient Clustered Communication

    R. Kanthavel1,*, R. Dhaya2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.31, No.1, pp. 649-659, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.019779 - 03 September 2021

Abstract Wireless Underground Sensor Networks (WUSNs) refer to a group of nodes working underneath the earth plane that has been predicted to render concurrent observation capability in the hostile subversive and underwater surroundings. The accurate monitoring in places like underground earth, water, lubricates so on called non-conventional media need high accuracy of tiny sized sensors with antennas at a similar size. Therefore, an investigation is needed to study the opportunities and drawbacks of utilizing WUSNs without compromising the effectiveness of real-time monitoring procedures. With this, the major confrontation is to institute a trustworthy underground communication regardless… More >
