Abstract In recent years, the infrastructure, instruments, and resources of network systems are becoming more complex and heterogeneous, with the rapid development of current internet and mobile communication technologies. In order to efficaciously prepare, control, hold and optimize networking systems, greater intelligence needs to be deployed. However, due to the inherently dispensed characteristic of conventional networks, Machine Learning (ML) techniques are hard to implement and deployed to govern and operate networks. Software-Defined Networking (SDN) brings us new possibilities to offer intelligence in the networks. SDN’s characteristics (e.g., logically centralized control, global network view, software-based site visitor analysis, and dynamic updating of… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.67, No.1, pp. 141-158, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.013217

Abstract Wireless Capsule Endoscopy (WCE) is an imaging technology, widely used in medical imaging for stomach infection recognition. However, a one patient procedure takes almost seven to eight minutes and approximately 57,000 frames are captured. The privacy of patients is very important and manual inspection is time consuming and costly. Therefore, an automated system for recognition of stomach infections from WCE frames is always needed. An existing block chain-based approach is employed in a convolutional neural network model to secure the network for accurate recognition of stomach infections such as ulcer and bleeding. Initially, images are normalized in fixed dimension and… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.67, No.1, pp. 73-87, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.012351

Abstract The objectives of this study involve the optimization of longitudinal porous fins of square cross-section using metaheuristic algorithms. A generalized nonlinear ordinary differential equation is derived using Darcy and Fourier’s laws in the energy balance around a control volume and is solved numerically using RFK 45 method. The temperature of the base surface is higher than the fin surface, and the fin tip is kept adiabatic or cooled by convection heat transfer. The other pertinent parameters include Rayleigh number (100 ≤ Ra ≤ 104), Darcy number, (10−4 ≤ Da ≤ 10−2), relative thermal conductivity ratio of solid phase to fluid (1000 ≤ kr ≤ 8000), Nusselt number (10 ≤ Nu ≤ 100), porosity (0.1 ≤ φ ≤ 0.9).… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.27, No.1, pp. 103-114, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.014388

    Abstract

In recent years, wireless channel optimization technologies witnessed tremendous improvements. In this regard, research for developing wireless spectrum for accommodating a wider range of wireless devices increased. This also helped in resolving spectrum scarcity issues. Cognitive Radio (CR) is a type of wireless communication in which a transceiver can intelligently detect which communication channels are being used. To avoid interference, it instantly moves traffic into vacant channels by avoiding the occupied ones. Cognitive Radio (CR) technology showed the potential to deal with the spectrum shortage problem. The spectrum assignment is often considered as a key research challenge in Cognitive Radio… More >

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.27, No.1, pp. 259-268, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.013704

Abstract With the continuous development of the Internet, the domain name system (DNS) as infrastructure is playing an increasingly important role. However, traditional DNS architecture is centralized, and there are some security problems such as the right concentration and power abuse. This paper combines blockchain technology with DNS technology and proposes a domain name service model based on the permissioned blockchain. At first, this paper designs a top-level domain chain (TLDChain) model to conduct consensus on block transactions and achieve decentralization of domain name service. Then, this paper introduces a data model to upload data. At the same time, to improve… More >

Abstract In medical imaging, computer vision researchers are faced with a variety of features for verifying the authenticity of classifiers for an accurate diagnosis. In response to the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, new testing procedures, medical treatments, and vaccines are being developed rapidly. One potential diagnostic tool is a reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). RT-PCR, typically a time-consuming process, was less sensitive to COVID-19 recognition in the disease’s early stages. Here we introduce an optimized deep learning (DL) scheme to distinguish COVID-19-infected patients from normal patients according to computed tomography (CT) scans. In the proposed method, contrast enhancement is used to… More >

Abstract Key information extraction can reduce the dimensional effects while evaluating the correct preferences of users during semantic data analysis. Currently, the classifiers are used to maximize the performance of web-page recommendation in terms of precision and satisfaction. The recent method disambiguates contextual sentiment using conceptual prediction with robustness, however the conceptual prediction method is not able to yield the optimal solution. Context-dependent terms are primarily evaluated by constructing linear space of context features, presuming that if the terms come together in certain consumer-related reviews, they are semantically reliant. Moreover, the more frequently they coexist, the greater the semantic dependency is.… More >

An Improved Distributed Query for Large-Scale RDF Data

    Aoran Li1, Xinmeng Wang1, Xueliang Wang4, Bohan Li1,2,3,*

    Journal on Big Data, Vol.2, No.4, pp. 157-166, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jbd.2020.010358

Abstract The rigid structure of the traditional relational database leads to data redundancy, which seriously affects the efficiency of the data query and cannot effectively manage massive data. To solve this problem, we use distributed storage and parallel computing technology to query RDF data. In order to achieve efficient storage and retrieval of large-scale RDF data, we combine the respective advantage of the storage model of the relational database and the distributed query. To overcome the disadvantages of storing and querying RDF data, we design and implement a breadth-first path search algorithm based on the keyword query on a distributed platform.… More >

    Ahmed Y. Hamed1, Monagi H. Alkinani2, M. R. Hassan3,*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.6, pp. 1201-1216, 2020, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2020.012663

Abstract Many applications require to send information from a source node to multiple destinations nodes. To support these applications, the paper presents a multi-objective based genetic algorithm, which is used in the construction of the multicast tree for data transmission in a computer network. The proposed algorithm simultaneously optimizes total weights (cost, delay, and hop) of the multicast tree. Experimental results prove that the proposed algorithm outperforms a recently published Multi-objective Multicast Algorithm specially designed for solving the multicast routing problem. Also, the proposed approach has been applied to ten-node and twenty-node network to illustrate its efficiency. In addition, the execution… More >
