Hierarchical and Distributed Optimal Control Strategy for Power and Power Quality of Microgrid Based on Finite-Time Consistency

    Wenjun Wei1,2, Hao Liang1,*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.5, pp. 2065-2080, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.020002 - 21 July 2022

Abstract Droop control is one of the main control strategies of islanded microgrid (MG), but the droop control cannot achieve reasonable power distribution of microgrid, resulting in frequency and voltage deviation from the rating value, which needs the upper control link to eliminate the deviation. However, at present, most layered control requires a centralized control center, which excessively relies on microgrid central controller (MGCC) and real-time communication among distributed generation (DG), which has certain limitations. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a hierarchical distributed power and power quality optimization strategy based on multi-agent finite… More >

    Evren Hincal, Amna Hashim Alzadjali

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.132, No.2, pp. 393-411, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.019781 - 15 June 2022

Abstract Excellent student’s academic performance is the uppermost priority and goal of educators and facilitators. The dubious marginal rate between admission and graduation rates unveils the rates of dropout and withdrawal from school. To improve the academic performance of students, we optimize the performance indices to the dynamics describing the academic performance in the form of nonlinear system ODE. We established the uniform boundedness of the model and the existence and uniqueness result. The independence and interdependence equilibria were found to be locally and globally asymptotically stable. The optimal control analysis was carried out, and lastly, More >

Abstract The advancement in numerical models of serious resistant illnesses is a key research territory in different fields including the nature and the study of disease transmission. One of the aims of these models is to comprehend the elements of conduction of these infections. For the new strain of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), there has been no immunization to protect individuals from the virus and to forestall its spread so far. All things being equal, control procedures related to medical services, for example, social distancing or separation, isolation, and travel limitations can be adjusted to control this pandemic.… More >

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.42, No.1, pp. 387-395, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.017745 - 02 December 2021

Abstract The energy consumption of train operation occupies a large proportion of the total consumption of railway transportation. In order to improve the operating energy utilization rate of trains, a multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MPSO) algorithm with energy consumption, punctuality and parking accuracy as the objective and safety as the constraint is built. To accelerate its the convergence process, the train operation progression is divided into several modes according to the train speed-distance curve. A human-computer interactive particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed, which presents the optimized results after a certain number of iterations to the… More >

    Ahmed Agwa1,2,*, Salah Elsayed3, Mahrous Ahmed3

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.31, No.2, pp. 799-815, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.019887 - 22 September 2021

Abstract Automatic voltage regulators (AVRs) in electrical grids preserve the voltage at its nominal value. Regulating the parameters of proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controllers used for AVRs is a nonlinear optimization issue. The objective function is designed to minimize the settling time, rise time, and overshoot of step response of resultant voltage with subjugation to constraints of PID controller parameters. In this study, we suggest using an Archimedes optimization algorithm (AOA) to tune the parameters of the PID controllers for AVRs. In addition, using an AOA to optimize the parameters of a fractional-order PID (FOPID) controller and a… More >

Abstract In this manuscript, we solve the ordinary model of nonlinear smoking mathematically by using the second kind of shifted Chebyshev polynomials. The stability of the equilibrium point is calculated. The schematic of the model illustrates our proposition. We discuss the optimal control of this model, and formularize the optimal control smoking work through the necessary optimality cases. A numerical technique for the simulation of the control problem is adopted. Moreover, a numerical method is presented, and its stability analysis discussed. Numerical simulation then demonstrates our idea. Optimal control for the model is further discussed by More >
