Operation Control Method of Relay Protection in Flexible DC Distribution Network Compatible with Distributed Power Supply

    Zihan Qi*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.11, pp. 2547-2563, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.027045 - 31 October 2023

Abstract A novel operation control method for relay protection in flexible DC distribution networks with distributed power supply is proposed to address the issue of inaccurate fault location during relay protection, leading to poor performance. The method combines a fault-tolerant fault location method based on long-term and short-term memory networks to accurately locate the fault section. Then, an operation control method for relay protection based on adaptive weight and whale optimization algorithm (WOA) is used to construct an objective function considering the shortest relay protection action time and the smallest impulse current. The adaptive weight and More >

A Genetic Algorithm for Optimizing Yaw Operation Control in Wind Power Plants

Lisha Shang*, Yajuan Jia, Liming Zheng, Erna Shi, Min Sun

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.18, No.3, pp. 511-519, 2022, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2022.017920 - 22 February 2022

Abstract A genetic algorithm is proposed to optimize the yaw control system used for the stable and efficient operation of turbines in wind power plants. In particular, the factors that produce yaw static deviation are analyzed. Then, the sought optimization method for the yaw static deviation of the wind turbine is implemented by using a lidar wind meter in the engine room in order to solve the low accuracy problem caused by yaw static deviation. It is shown that fuzzy control can overcome problematic factors such as the randomness of wind direction and track the change More >

Study on Optimization of Urban Rail Train Operation Control Curve Based on Improved Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm

    Xiaokan Wang*, Qiong Wang

    Journal on Internet of Things, Vol.3, No.1, pp. 1-9, 2021, DOI:10.32604/jiot.2021.010228 - 16 March 2021

Abstract A multi-objective improved genetic algorithm is constructed to solve the train operation simulation model of urban rail train and find the optimal operation curve. In the train control system, the conversion point of operating mode is the basic of gene encoding and the chromosome composed of multiple genes represents a control scheme, and the initial population can be formed by the way. The fitness function can be designed by the design requirements of the train control stop error, time error and energy consumption. the effectiveness of new individual can be ensured by checking the validity More >
