Hopping-Aware Cluster Header Capability for Sensor Relocation in Mobile IoT Networks

    Moonseong Kim1, Jaeyoung Park2, Young-Joon Kim3, Woochan Lee4,*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.2, pp. 1613-1625, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.033081 - 05 January 2023

Abstract Mobile sensor nodes such as hopping sensors are of critical importance in data collection. However, the occurrence of sensing holes is unavoidable due to the energy limitation of the nodes. Thus, it is evident that the relocation of mobile sensors is the most desirable method to recover the sensing holes. The previous research conducted by the authors so far demonstrated the most realistic hopping sensor relocation scheme, which is suitable for the distributed environment. In previous studies, the cluster header plays an essential role in detecting the sensing hole and requesting the neighboring cluster to… More >

5G Data Offloading Using Fuzzification with Grasshopper Optimization Technique

    V. R. Balaji1,*, T. Kalavathi2, J. Vellingiri3, N. Rajkumar4, Venkat Prasad Padhy5

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.42, No.1, pp. 289-301, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020971 - 02 December 2021

Abstract Data offloading at the network with less time and reduced energy consumption are highly important for every technology. Smart applications process the data very quickly with less power consumption. As technology grows towards 5G communication architecture, identifying a solution for QoS in 5G through energy-efficient computing is important. In this proposed model, we perform data offloading at 5G using the fuzzification concept. Mobile IoT devices create tasks in the network and are offloaded in the cloud or mobile edge nodes based on energy consumption. Two base stations, small (SB) and macro (MB) stations, are initialized More >

Success Rate Queue-Based Relocation Algorithm of Sensory Network to Overcome Non-Uniformly Distributed Obstacles

    Sooyeon Park1, Moonseong Kim2, Woochan Lee1, *

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.2, pp. 1181-1201, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.011245 - 20 August 2020

Abstract With the recent development of big data technology that collects and analyzes various data, the technology that continuously collects and analyzes the observed data is also drawing attention. Moreover, its importance is growing in data collection in areas where people cannot access. In general, it is not easy to properly deploy IoT wireless devices for data collection in these areas, and it is also inappropriate to use general wheelbased mobile devices for relocation. Recently, researches have been actively carried out on hopping moving models in place of wheel-based movement for the inaccessible regions. The majority… More >
