Generalized Jaccard Similarity Based Recurrent DNN for Virtualizing Social Network Communities

    R. Gnanakumari1,*, P. Vijayalakshmi2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.3, pp. 2719-2730, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.034145

Abstract In social data analytics, Virtual Community (VC) detection is a primary challenge in discovering user relationships and enhancing social recommendations. VC formation is used for personal interaction between communities. But the usual methods didn’t find the Suspicious Behaviour (SB) needed to make a VC. The Generalized Jaccard Suspicious Behavior Similarity-based Recurrent Deep Neural Network Classification and Ranking (GJSBS-RDNNCR) Model addresses these issues. The GJSBS-RDNNCR model comprises four layers for VC formation in Social Networks (SN). In the GJSBS-RDNNCR model, the SN is given as an input at the input layer. After that, the User’s Behaviors (UB) are extracted in the… More >

Incentive-Driven Approach for Misbehavior Avoidance in Vehicular Networks

    Shahid Sultan1, Qaisar Javaid1, Eid Rehman2,*, Ahmad Aziz Alahmadi3, Nasim Ullah3, Wakeel Khan4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.3, pp. 6089-6106, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.021374

Abstract For efficient and robust information exchange in the vehicular ad-hoc network, a secure and trusted incentive reward is needed to avoid and reduce the intensity of misbehaving nodes and congestion especially in the case where the periodic beacons exploit the channel. In addition, we cannot be sure that all vehicular nodes eagerly share their communication assets to the system for message dissemination without any rewards. Unfortunately, there may be some misbehaving nodes and due to their selfish and greedy approach, these nodes may not help others on the network. To deal with this challenge, trust-based misbehavior avoidance schemes are generally… More >

TBDDoSA-MD: Trust-Based DDoS Misbehave Detection Approach in Software-defined Vehicular Network (SDVN)

    Rajendra Prasad Nayak1, Srinivas Sethi2, Sourav Kumar Bhoi3, Kshira Sagar Sahoo4, Nz Jhanjhi5, Thamer A. Tabbakh6, Zahrah A. Almusaylim7,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.69, No.3, pp. 3513-3529, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.018930

Abstract Reliable vehicles are essential in vehicular networks for effective communication. Since vehicles in the network are dynamic, even a short span of misbehavior by a vehicle can disrupt the whole network which may lead to catastrophic consequences. In this paper, a Trust-Based Distributed DoS Misbehave Detection Approach (TBDDoSA-MD) is proposed to secure the Software-Defined Vehicular Network (SDVN). A malicious vehicle in this network performs DDoS misbehavior by attacking other vehicles in its neighborhood. It uses the jamming technique by sending unnecessary signals in the network, as a result, the network performance degrades. Attacked vehicles in that network will no longer… More >
