    Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.22, No.4, pp. 1153-1169, 2024, DOI:10.32604/fhmt.2024.048474 - 30 August 2024

Abstract The present paper examines the temperature-dependent viscosity and thermal conductivity of a micropolar silver ()−Magnesium oxide () hybrid nanofluid made of silver and magnesium oxide over a rotating vertical cone, with the influence of transverse magnetic field and thermal radiation. The physical flow problem has been modeled with coupled partial differential equations. We apply similarity transformations to the non-dimensionalized equations, and the resulting nonlinear differential equations are solved using overlapping grid multidomain spectral quasilinearization method. The flow behavior for the fluid is scrutinized under the impact of diverse physical constraints, which are illustrated graphically. The More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.140, No.3, pp. 2487-2512, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2024.050525 - 08 July 2024

Abstract The physical problem of the thin film flow of a micropolar fluid over a dynamic and inclined substrate under the influence of gravitational and thermal forces in the presence of nanoparticles is formulated. Five different types of nanoparticle samples are accounted for in this current study, namely gold Au, silver Ag, molybdenum disulfide MoS2, aluminum oxide Al2O3, and silicon dioxide SiO2. Blood, a micropolar fluid, serves as the common base fluid. An exact closed-form solution for this problem is derived for the first time in the literature. The results are particularly validated against those for the Newtonian fluid… More >

    Pudhari Srilatha1, Ahmed M. Hassan2, B. Shankar Goud3,*, E. Ranjit Kumar4

    Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.21, pp. 539-562, 2023, DOI:10.32604/fhmt.2023.043023 - 30 November 2023

Abstract The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence that slip boundary conditions have on the rate of heat and mass transfer by examining the behavior of micropolar MHD flow across a porous stretching sheet. In addition to this, the impacts of thermal radiation and viscous dissipation are taken into account. With the use of various computing strategies, numerical results have been produced. Similarity transformation was utilized in order to convert the partial differential equations (PDEs) that regulated energy, rotational momentum, concentration, and momentum into ordinary differential equations (ODEs). As compared to earlier published… More > Graphic Abstract

Abstract In this work, We are looking at the characteristics of micropolar flow in a porous channel that’s being driven by suction or injection. The working of the fluid is described in the flow model. We can reduce the governing nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) to a model of coupled systems of nonlinear ordinary differential equations using similarity variables (ODEs). In order to obtain the results of a coupled system of nonlinear ODEs, we discuss a method which is known as the differential transform method (DTM). The concern transform is an excellent mathematical tool to obtain More > Graphic Abstract

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.19, No.1, pp. 61-81, 2023, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2023.021590 - 02 August 2022

Abstract In this paper, the effects of thermal radiation and viscous dissipation on the stagnation–point flow of a micropolar fluid over a permeable stretching sheet with suction and injection are analyzed and discussed. A suitable similarity transformation is used to convert the governing nonlinear partial differential equations into a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations, which are then solved numerically by a fourth–order Runge–Kutta method. It is found that the linear fluid velocity decreases with the enhancement of the porosity, boundary, and suction parameters. Conversely, it increases with the micropolar and injection parameters. The angular velocity More >

THERMOPHORESIS IMPACT ON A MICROPOLAR FLUID UNDER CHANGEABLE HEAT FLUX IN CONDUCTING FIELD

    P. Chandra Reddya, B. Hari Babub,*, K. Sreenivasuluc

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.19, pp. 1-5, 2022, DOI:10.5098/hmt.19.27

Abstract This examination carried out on thermophoresis impact on a micropolar fluid under heat flux which is not changeable in conducting field. The flow past a vertical porous plate is taken with the influence of thermal radiation and diffusion simultaneously. The flow governed non linear partial differential equations in this model are distorted to a structure of non-linear ordinary ones through fitting corresponding transformations and later solved by Runge–Kutta Fourth order with shooting technique method. The effects of selected corporal parameters on the dimensionless velocity, microrotation and temperature profiles are examined and handled graphically. Lastly, numerical More >

    MD. Shamshuddin1, *, C. Balarama Krishna2

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.15, No.3, pp. 207-231, 2019, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2019.00449

Abstract Mathematical model for an unsteady, incompressible, electrically conducting micropolar fluid past a vertical plate through porous medium with constant plate velocity has been investigated in the present study. Heat absorption, Joulian dissipation, and firstorder chemical reaction is also considered. Under the assumption of low Reynolds number, the governing transport equations are rendered into non-dimensional form and the transformed first order differential equations are solved by employing an efficient finite element method. Influence of various flow parameters on linear velocity, microrotation velocity, temperature, and concentration are presented graphically. The effects of heat absorption and chemical reaction More >

The emerging boundary value problem is then solved numerically with an efficient… More >

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.14, No.1, pp. 57-86, 2018, DOI:10.3970/fdmp.2018.014.057

The governing partial differential equations are transformed into coupled nonlinear partial differential equations by using the appropriate dimensionless quantities. The resulting equations are then solved by the Galerkin finite More >
