Systematic Review: Load Balancing in Cloud Computing by Using Metaheuristic Based Dynamic Algorithms

Darakhshan Syed*, Ghulam Muhammad, Safdar Rizvi

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.39, No.3, pp. 437-476, 2024, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2024.050681

Abstract Cloud Computing has the ability to provide on-demand access to a shared resource pool. It has completely changed the way businesses are managed, implement applications, and provide services. The rise in popularity has led to a significant increase in the user demand for services. However, in cloud environments efficient load balancing is essential to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization. This systematic review targets a detailed description of load balancing techniques including static and dynamic load balancing algorithms. Specifically, metaheuristic-based dynamic load balancing algorithms are identified as the optimal solution in case of increased traffic. More >

P-ACOHONEYBEE: A Novel Load Balancer for Cloud Computing Using Mathematical Approach

    Sunday Adeola Ajagbe1, Mayowa O. Oyediran2, Anand Nayyar3,*, Jinmisayo A. Awokola4, Jehad F. Al-Amri5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.1, pp. 1943-1959, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.028331

Abstract Cloud computing is a collection of disparate resources or services, a web of massive infrastructures, which is aimed at achieving maximum utilization with higher availability at a minimized cost. One of the most attractive applications for cloud computing is the concept of distributed information processing. Security, privacy, energy saving, reliability and load balancing are the major challenges facing cloud computing and most information technology innovations. Load balancing is the process of redistributing workload among all nodes in a network; to improve resource utilization and job response time, while avoiding overloading some nodes when other nodes… More >

Virtualized Load Balancer for Hybrid Cloud Using Genetic Algorithm

    S. Manikandan1,*, M. Chinnadurai2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.3, pp. 1459-1466, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.022527

Abstract Load Balancing is an important factor handling resource during running and execution time in real time applications. Virtual machines are used for dynamically access and share the resources. As per current scenario cloud computing is played major for storage, resource accessing, resource pooling and internet based service offering. Usage of cloud computing services is dynamically increased such as online shopping, education, ticketing, etc. Many users can use the cloud resources and load balancing is used for adjusting the virtual machine and balance the node. Our proposed virtualized genetic algorithms are to provide balanced virtual machine More >
