Kexin Wang*, Yingdong Gou, Dingrui Xue*, Jiancheng Liu, Wanlong Qi, Gang Hou, Bo Li

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.80, No.2, pp. 2941-2962, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.052893 - 15 August 2024

Abstract The collective Unmanned Weapon System-of-Systems (UWSOS) network represents a fundamental element in modern warfare, characterized by a diverse array of unmanned combat platforms interconnected through heterogeneous network architectures. Despite its strategic importance, the UWSOS network is highly susceptible to hostile infiltrations, which significantly impede its battlefield recovery capabilities. Existing methods to enhance network resilience predominantly focus on basic graph relationships, neglecting the crucial higher-order dependencies among nodes necessary for capturing multi-hop meta-paths within the UWSOS. To address these limitations, we propose the Enhanced-Resilience Multi-Layer Attention Graph Convolutional Network (E-MAGCN), designed to augment the adaptability of More >

    Sufen Zhao1,2, Rong Peng1,*, Po Hu2, Liansheng Tan2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.137, No.1, pp. 83-130, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.024781 - 23 April 2023

Abstract Real-world complex networks are inherently heterogeneous; they have different types of nodes, attributes, and relationships. In recent years, various methods have been proposed to automatically learn how to encode the structural and semantic information contained in heterogeneous information networks (HINs) into low-dimensional embeddings; this task is called heterogeneous network embedding (HNE). Efficient HNE techniques can benefit various HIN-based machine learning tasks such as node classification, recommender systems, and information retrieval. Here, we provide a comprehensive survey of key advancements in the area of HNE. First, we define an encoder-decoder-based HNE model taxonomy. Then, we systematically More > Graphic Abstract

Adaptive Learning Video Streaming with QoE in Multi-Home Heterogeneous Networks

    S. Vijayashaarathi1,*, S. NithyaKalyani2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.3, pp. 2881-2897, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.036864 - 03 April 2023

Abstract In recent years, real-time video streaming has grown in popularity. The growing popularity of the Internet of Things (IoT) and other wireless heterogeneous networks mandates that network resources be carefully apportioned among versatile users in order to achieve the best Quality of Experience (QoE) and performance objectives. Most researchers focused on Forward Error Correction (FEC) techniques when attempting to strike a balance between QoE and performance. However, as network capacity increases, the performance degrades, impacting the live visual experience. Recently, Deep Learning (DL) algorithms have been successfully integrated with FEC to stream videos across multiple… More >

Expert Recommendation in Community Question Answering via Heterogeneous Content Network Embedding

    Hong Li1,*, Jianjun Li1, Guohui Li1, Rong Gao2, Lingyu Yan2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.1, pp. 1687-1709, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.035239 - 06 February 2023

Abstract Expert Recommendation (ER) aims to identify domain experts with high expertise and willingness to provide answers to questions in Community Question Answering (CQA) web services. How to model questions and users in the heterogeneous content network is critical to this task. Most traditional methods focus on modeling questions and users based on the textual content left in the community while ignoring the structural properties of heterogeneous CQA networks and always suffering from textual data sparsity issues. Recent approaches take advantage of structural proximities between nodes and attempt to fuse the textual content of nodes for… More >

Fuzzy Logic Based Handover Authentication in 5g Telecommunication Heterogeneous Networks

    J. Divakaran1,*, Arvind Chakrapani2, K. Srihari3

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 1141-1152, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.028050 - 20 January 2023

Abstract Under various deployment circumstances, fifth-generation (5G) telecommunications delivers improved network compound management with fast communication channels. Due to the introduction of the Internet of Things (IoT) in data management, the majority of the ultra-dense network models in 5G networks frequently have decreased spectral efficiency, weak handover management, and vulnerabilities. The majority of traditional handover authentication models are seriously threatened, making them vulnerable to a variety of security attacks. The authentication of networked devices is the most important issue. Therefore, a model that incorporates the handover mechanism and authentication model must be created. This article uses More >

Analysis on D2D Heterogeneous Networks with State-Dependent Priority Traffic

    Guangjun Liang1,2, Jianfang Xin3,*, Linging Xia1, Xueli Ni1,4, Yi Cao5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.2, pp. 2981-2998, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.028597 - 31 October 2022

Abstract In this work, we consider the performance analysis of state dependent priority traffic and scheduling in device to device (D2D) heterogeneous networks. There are two priority transmission types of data in wireless communication, such as video or telephone, which always meet the requirements of high priority (HP) data transmission first. If there is a large amount of low priority (LP) data, there will be a large amount of LP data that cannot be sent. This situation will cause excessive delay of LP data and packet dropping probability. In order to solve this problem, the data… More >

    Hussain Alaaedi*, Masoud Sabaei

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.1, pp. 633-646, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.032462 - 29 September 2022

Abstract Enabling high mobility applications in millimeter wave (mmWave) based systems opens up a slew of new possibilities, including vehicle communications in addition to wireless virtual/augmented reality. The narrow beam usage in addition to the millimeter waves sensitivity might block the coverage along with the reliability of the mobile links. In this research work, the improvement in the quality of experience faced by the user for multimedia-related applications over the millimeter-wave band is investigated. The high attenuation loss in high frequencies is compensated with a massive array structure named Multiple Input and Multiple Output (MIMO) which… More >

Abstract Due to the unprecedented rate of transformation in the field of wireless communication industry, there is a need to prioritise the coverage, network power and throughput as preconditions. In Heterogeneous Networks (HetNets) the low power node inclusion like Femto and Pico cells creates a network of Multi-Tier (M-Tier) which is regarded as the most significant strategy for enhancing the coverage, throughput, 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) ability. This work mainly focuses on M-Tier 3D Heterogeneous Networks Energy Efficiency (EE) based Carrier Aggregation (CA) scheme for streaming real-time huge data like images. At first, M-Tier 3D… More >
