Abstract Populus trinervis is native to China and plays an irreplaceable role in maintaining the ecological balance of boreal and temperate forests. P. trinervis mainly grows in high-altitude areas. At present, there are limited studies on the response of P. trinervis to different light qualities, so it is necessary to investigate the photosynthetic physiological changes of P. trinervis in different light environments.
