Neuro-Symbolic Graph Learning for Causal Inference and Continual Learning in Mental-Health Risk Assessment

    Monalisa Jena1, Noman Khan2,*, Mi Young Lee3,*, Seungmin Rho3

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.146, No.1, 2026, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2025.075119 - 29 January 2026

Abstract Mental-health risk detection seeks early signs of distress from social media posts and clinical transcripts to enable timely intervention before crises. When such risks go undetected, consequences can escalate to self-harm, long-term disability, reduced productivity, and significant societal and economic burden. Despite recent advances, detecting risk from online text remains challenging due to heterogeneous language, evolving semantics, and the sequential emergence of new datasets. Effective solutions must encode clinically meaningful cues, reason about causal relations, and adapt to new domains without forgetting prior knowledge. To address these challenges, this paper presents a Continual Neuro-Symbolic Graph… More >

YOLOv10-HQGNN: A Hybrid Quantum Graph Learning Framework for Real-Time Faulty Insulator Detection

    Nghia Dinh1, Vinh Truong Hoang1,*, Viet-Tuan Le1, Kiet Tran-Trung1, Ha Duong Thi Hong1, Bay Nguyen Van1, Hau Nguyen Trung1, Thien Ho Huong1, Kittikhun Meethongjan2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.86, No.3, 2026, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2025.069587 - 12 January 2026

Abstract Ensuring the reliability of power transmission networks depends heavily on the early detection of faults in key components such as insulators, which serve both mechanical and electrical functions. Even a single defective insulator can lead to equipment breakdown, costly service interruptions, and increased maintenance demands. While unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) enable rapid and cost-effective collection of high-resolution imagery, accurate defect identification remains challenging due to cluttered backgrounds, variable lighting, and the diverse appearance of faults. To address these issues, we introduce a real-time inspection framework that integrates an enhanced YOLOv10 detector with a Hybrid Quantum-Enhanced More >

Multi-Expert Collaboration Based Information Graph Learning for Anomaly Diagnosis in Smart Grids

    Zengyao Tian1,2, Li Lv1,*, Wenchen Deng1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.85, No.3, pp. 5359-5376, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2025.069427 - 23 October 2025

Abstract Accurate and reliable fault diagnosis is critical for secure operation in complex smart power systems. While graph neural networks show promise for this task, existing methods often neglect the long-tailed distribution inherent in real-world grid fault data and fail to provide reliability estimates for their decisions. To address these dual challenges, we propose a novel multi-expert collaboration uncertainty-aware power fault recognition framework with cross-view graph learning. Its core innovations are two synergistic modules: (1) The infographics aggregation module tackles the long-tail problem by learning robust graph-level representations. It employs an information-driven optimization loss within a… More >

Decentralized Federated Graph Learning via Surrogate Model

Bolin Zhang, Ruichun Gu*, Haiying Liu

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.82, No.2, pp. 2521-2535, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.060331 - 17 February 2025

Abstract Federated Graph Learning (FGL) enables model training without requiring each client to share local graph data, effectively breaking data silos by aggregating the training parameters from each terminal while safeguarding data privacy. Traditional FGL relies on a centralized server for model aggregation; however, this central server presents challenges such as a single point of failure and high communication overhead. Additionally, efficiently training a robust personalized local model for each client remains a significant objective in federated graph learning. To address these issues, we propose a decentralized Federated Graph Learning framework with efficient communication, termed Decentralized… More >

A Novel Graph Structure Learning Based Semi-Supervised Framework for Anomaly Identification in Fluctuating IoT Environment

    Weijian Song1,, Xi Li1,, Peng Chen1,*, Juan Chen1, Jianhua Ren2, Yunni Xia3,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.140, No.3, pp. 3001-3016, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2024.048563 - 08 July 2024

Abstract With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, IoT systems have been widely applied in healthcare, transportation, home, and other fields. However, with the continuous expansion of the scale and increasing complexity of IoT systems, the stability and security issues of IoT systems have become increasingly prominent. Thus, it is crucial to detect anomalies in the collected IoT time series from various sensors. Recently, deep learning models have been leveraged for IoT anomaly detection. However, owing to the challenges associated with data labeling, most IoT anomaly detection methods resort to unsupervised learning techniques.… More >
