Mechanical Properties of CP Ti Processed via a High-Precision Laser Powder Bed Fusion Process

    Hui Liu1, Xu Song1,*

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.29, No.2, pp. 1-1, 2024, DOI:10.32604/icces.2024.011362

Abstract Because of its higher specific strength and better biocompatibility, commercially pure titanium (CP Ti) is widely used for product fabrication in the aerospace, medical, and other industries. Currently, different ways are adopted to strengthen CP Ti, such as solid-solution strengthening using oxygen or adding metal components to form alloys; however, the introduction of oxygen, other gases, or alloying elements reduces the corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. Herein, CP Ti with a low oxygen content was used to fabricate samples via a high-precision laser powder bed fusion process. Smaller laser beam diameter and thinner layer thickness lead More >

Computational Linguistics Based Arabic Poem Classification and Dictarization Model

    Manar Ahmed Hamza1,*, Hala J. Alshahrani2, Najm Alotaibi3, Mohamed K. Nour4, Mahmoud Othman5, Gouse Pasha Mohammed1, Mohammed Rizwanullah1, Mohamed I. Eldesouki6

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.48, No.1, pp. 97-114, 2024, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.034520 - 26 January 2024

Abstract Computational linguistics is the scientific and engineering discipline related to comprehending written and spoken language from a computational perspective and building artefacts that effectively process and produce language, either in bulk or in a dialogue setting. This paper develops a Chaotic Bird Swarm Optimization with deep ensemble learning based Arabic poem classification and dictarization (CBSOEDL-APCD) technique. The presented CBSOEDL-APCD technique involves the classification and dictarization of Arabic text into Arabic poetries and prose. Primarily, the CBSOEDL-APCD technique carries out data pre-processing to convert it into a useful format. Besides, the ensemble deep learning (EDL) model More >

LARGE EDDY SIMULATION OF THE DIFFUSION PROCESS OF NUTRIENT-RICH UP-WELLED SEAWATER

Shigenao Maruyamaa, Masud Behniab, Masasazumi Chisakic, Takuma Kogawac,*, Junnosuke Okajimaa, Atsuki Komiyaa

    Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.4, No.2, pp. 1-6, 2013, DOI:10.5098/hmt.v4.2.3002

Abstract The diffusion process of deep seawater drawn up by a vertical pipe deployed in the ocean is investigated. This vertical pipe is based on the principal of perpetual salt fountain. Numerical simulations of seawater upwelling from the pipe are performed based on experiments conducted in the Mariana trench region. Two turbulence modeling approaches were examined: k-ε model and Large Eddy Simulations (LES). The results in both models show that diffusion of the deep seawater diffusion after ejection from the pipe. The LES results show a 50% lower vertical penetration compared to the k-ε model as well More >

Numerical modeling of resin film infusion process with compaction and its application

Duning Li, Yufeng Niei?a, Xuemei Zhou, Li Cai

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.19, No.3, pp. 75-76, 2011, DOI:10.3970/icces.2011.019.075

Abstract In this study, the efficient discrete model including the resin infusion and the fiber compaction is developed to simulate the RFI (resin film infusion) process. The non-linear governing equations are derived by the Darcy's law, the Terzaghi's law and the continuity equations. The finite element method and the finite difference method are used to discretize the proposed equations, and the VOF method is used to track the filling front. Compared with the analytical results of Park, our numerical results agree well with them. Furthermore, we analyze the RFI process of BMI/G0814, and simulate the resin More >
