    Siyi Duan1, Mingsheng Wei1,*, Shidang Li1,*, Weiqiang Tan2, Bencheng Yu3

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.138, No.1, pp. 619-638, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.029572 - 22 September 2023

Abstract This paper examines the performance of Full-Duplex Cooperative Rate Splitting (FD-CRS) with Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) support in Multiple Input Single Output (MISO) networks. In a Rate Splitting Multiple Access (RSMA) multicast system with two local users and one remote user, the common data stream contains the needs of all users, and all users can decode the common data stream. Therefore, each user can receive some information that other users need, and local users with better channel conditions can use this information to further enhance the reception reliability and data rate of… More >

Throughput Analysis of HARQ Scheme Based on Full-Duplex Two-Way AF SWIPT Relay

    Xiaoye Shi1,*, Fei Ding1,2, Haiting Zhu1, Zhaowei Zhang1, Lei Zhang1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.3, pp. 4819-4830, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.018637 - 28 December 2022

Abstract The simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) relay system is one of the emerging technologies. Xiaomi Corporation and Motorola Inc. recently launched indoor wireless power transfer equipment is one of the most promising applications. To tap the potential of the system, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) is introduced into the SWIPT relay system. Firstly, the time slot structure of HARQ scheme based on full duplex two-way amplify and forward (AF) SWIPT relay is given, and its retransmission status is analyzed. Secondly, the equivalent signal-to-noise ratio and outage probability of various states are calculated by More >

Rate-Energy Tradeoff for Wireless Simultaneous Information and Power Transfer in Full-Duplex and Half-Duplex Systems

    Xiaoye Shi1, *, Jin Sun1, Dongming Li1, Fei Ding2, Zhaowei Zhang1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.2, pp. 1373-1384, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.011018 - 20 August 2020

Abstract In this paper, we study the rate-energy tradeoff for wireless simultaneous information and power transfer in full-duplex and half-duplex scenarios. To this end, the weighting function of energy efficiency and transmission rate, as rate-energy tradeoff metric is first introduced and the metric optimization problem is formulated. Applying Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions for Lagrangian optimality and a series of mathematical approximations, the metric optimization problem can be simplified. The closed-form solution of the power ratio is obtained, building direct relationship between power ratio and the rate-energy tradeoff metric. By choosing power ratio, one can make the tradeoff… More >

Joint Spectrum Partition and Performance Analysis of Full-Duplex D2D Communications in Multi-Tier Wireless Networks

    Yueping Wang1,*, Xuan Zhang2, Yixuan Zhang3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.61, No.1, pp. 171-184, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.06204

Abstract Full-duplex (FD) has been recognized as a promising technology for future 5G networks to improve the spectrum efficiency. However, the biggest practical impediments of realizing full-duplex communications are the presence of self-interference, especially in complex cellular networks. With the current development of self-interference cancellation techniques, full-duplex has been considered to be more suitable for device-to-device (D2D) and small cell communications which have small transmission range and low transmit power. In this paper, we consider the full-duplex D2D communications in multi-tier wireless networks and present an analytical model which jointly considers mode selection, resource allocation, and More >
