Hybrid Color Texture Features Classification Through ANN for Melanoma

    Saleem Mustafa1, Arfan Jaffar1, Muhammad Waseem Iqbal2,*, Asma Abubakar2, Abdullah S. Alshahrani3, Ahmed Alghamdi4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.2, pp. 2205-2218, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.029549 - 19 July 2022

Abstract Melanoma is of the lethal and rare types of skin cancer. It is curable at an initial stage and the patient can survive easily. It is very difficult to screen all skin lesion patients due to costly treatment. Clinicians are requiring a correct method for the right treatment for dermoscopic clinical features such as lesion borders, pigment networks, and the color of melanoma. These challenges are required an automated system to classify the clinical features of melanoma and non-melanoma disease. The trained clinicians can overcome the issues such as low contrast, lesions varying in size,… More >

Grasshopper KUWAHARA and Gradient Boosting Tree for Optimal Features Classifications

    Rabab Hamed M. Aly1,*, Aziza I. Hussein2, Kamel H. Rahouma3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.2, pp. 3985-3997, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.025862 - 29 March 2022

Abstract This paper aims to design an optimizer followed by a Kawahara filter for optimal classification and prediction of employees’ performance. The algorithm starts by processing data by a modified K-means technique as a hierarchical clustering method to quickly obtain the best features of employees to reach their best performance. The work of this paper consists of two parts. The first part is based on collecting data of employees to calculate and illustrate the performance of each employee. The second part is based on the classification and prediction techniques of the employee performance. This model is More >

Video Analytics Framework for Human Action Recognition

    Muhammad Attique Khan1, Majed Alhaisoni2, Ammar Armghan3, Fayadh Alenezi3, Usman Tariq4, Yunyoung Nam5,*, Tallha Akram6

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.68, No.3, pp. 3841-3859, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.016864 - 06 May 2021

Abstract Human action recognition (HAR) is an essential but challenging task for observing human movements. This problem encompasses the observations of variations in human movement and activity identification by machine learning algorithms. This article addresses the challenges in activity recognition by implementing and experimenting an intelligent segmentation, features reduction and selection framework. A novel approach has been introduced for the fusion of segmented frames and multi-level features of interests are extracted. An entropy-skewness based features reduction technique has been implemented and the reduced features are converted into a codebook by serial based fusion. A custom made More >
