A Steganography Based on Optimal Multi-Threshold Block Labeling

    Shuying Xu1, Chin-Chen Chang1, Ji-Hwei Horng2,*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.1, pp. 721-739, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.026046 - 01 June 2022

Abstract Hiding secret data in digital images is one of the major research fields in information security. Recently, reversible data hiding in encrypted images has attracted extensive attention due to the emergence of cloud services. This paper proposes a novel reversible data hiding method in encrypted images based on an optimal multi-threshold block labeling technique (OMTBL-RDHEI). In our scheme, the content owner encrypts the cover image with block permutation, pixel permutation, and stream cipher, which preserve the in-block correlation of pixel values. After uploading to the cloud service, the data hider applies the prediction error rearrangement… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.68, No.1, pp. 431-446, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.016165 - 22 March 2021

Abstract Assuring medical images protection and robustness is a compulsory necessity nowadays. In this paper, a novel technique is proposed that fuses the wavelet-induced multi-resolution decomposition of the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) with the energy compaction of the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DCT). The multi-level Encryption-based Hybrid Fusion Technique (EbhFT) aims to achieve great advances in terms of imperceptibility and security of medical images. A DWT disintegrated sub-band of a cover image is reformed simultaneously using the DCT transform. Afterwards, a 64-bit hex key is employed to encrypt the host image as well as participate in the… More >

An Encrypted Image Retrieval Method Based on SimHash in Cloud Computing

    Jiaohua Qin1, Yusi Cao1, Xuyu Xiang1, *, Yun Tan1, Lingyun Xiang2, Jianjun Zhang3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.63, No.1, pp. 389-399, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.07819 - 30 March 2020

Abstract With the massive growth of images data and the rise of cloud computing that can provide cheap storage space and convenient access, more and more users store data in cloud server. However, how to quickly query the expected data with privacy-preserving is still a challenging in the encryption image data retrieval. Towards this goal, this paper proposes a ciphertext image retrieval method based on SimHash in cloud computing. Firstly, we extract local feature of images, and then cluster the features by K-means. Based on it, the visual word codebook is introduced to represent feature information More >
