Abstract This paper addresses the impact of vertical vibration negative effects, unbalanced radial forces generated by the static eccentricity of the hub motor, and road excitation on the suspension performance of Hub Motor Driven Vehicle (HMDV). A dynamic inertial suspension based on Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) is proposed, combining the vertical dynamic characteristics of dynamic inertial suspension with the features of ADRC, which distinguishes between internal and external disturbances and arranges the transition process. Firstly, a simulation model of the static eccentricity of the hub motor is established to simulate the unbalanced radial electromagnetic force… More > Graphic Abstract

Improved Data Stream Clustering Method: Incorporating KD-Tree for Typicality and Eccentricity-Based Approach

    Dayu Xu1,#, Jiaming Lü1,#, Xuyao Zhang2, Hongtao Zhang1,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.78, No.2, pp. 2557-2573, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.045932 - 27 February 2024

Abstract Data stream clustering is integral to contemporary big data applications. However, addressing the ongoing influx of data streams efficiently and accurately remains a primary challenge in current research. This paper aims to elevate the efficiency and precision of data stream clustering, leveraging the TEDA (Typicality and Eccentricity Data Analysis) algorithm as a foundation, we introduce improvements by integrating a nearest neighbor search algorithm to enhance both the efficiency and accuracy of the algorithm. The original TEDA algorithm, grounded in the concept of “Typicality and Eccentricity Data Analytics”, represents an evolving and recursive method that requires… More >

Artificial Monitoring of Eccentric Synchronous Reluctance Motors Using Neural Networks

Shuguang Wei, Jiaqi Li*, Zixu Zhao, Dong Yuan

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.1, pp. 1035-1052, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.024201 - 24 February 2022

Abstract This paper proposes an artificial neural network for monitoring and detecting the eccentric error of synchronous reluctance motors. Firstly, a 15 kW synchronous reluctance motor is introduced and took as a case study to investigate the effects of eccentric rotor. Then, the equivalent magnetic circuits of the studied motor are analyzed and developed, in cases of dynamic eccentric rotor and static eccentric rotor condition, respectively. After that, the analytical equations of the studied motor are derived, in terms of its air-gap flux density, electromagnetic torque, and electromagnetic force, followed by the electromagnetic finite element analyses. Then,… More >

Experimental Investigation of the Creep Behaviour of Glulam Compression-Bending Members

Yifei Yin, Lirong Qu, Weidong Lu*, Chengshuai Li

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.10, No.6, pp. 1517-1535, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2022.018149 - 20 January 2022

Abstract Creep test results of glulam members under compression and bending were studied in this paper. The creep tests were conducted to investigate the influence of the stress level and relative eccentricity on the creep deformation of glulam members. The test results showed that the creep deformation trends of glulam members under long-term compression and bending loading were similar; the creep deformation increased with increases in both the stress level and relative eccentricity. However, the relative creep deformation decreased with the increase in both the stress level and relative eccentricity under long-term loading, and a five-parameter… More > Graphic Abstract

CGraM: Enhanced Algorithm for Community Detection in Social Networks

    Kalaichelvi Nallusamy*, K. S. Easwarakumar

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.31, No.2, pp. 749-765, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.020189 - 22 September 2021

Abstract Community Detection is used to discover a non-trivial organization of the network and to extract the special relations among the nodes which can help in understanding the structure and the function of the networks. However, community detection in social networks is a vast and challenging task, in terms of detected communities accuracy and computational overheads. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm Enhanced Algorithm for Community Detection in Social Networks – CGraM, for community detection using the graph measures eccentricity, harmonic centrality and modularity. First, the centre nodes are identified by using the eccentricity… More >

Vibration Control of Vertical Turbine Pump by Optimization of Vane Pitch Tolerances of an Impeller Using Statistical Techniques

    Ravindra Birajdar1,*, Appasaheb Keste2, Shravan Gawande2

    Sound & Vibration, Vol.55, No.4, pp. 305-327, 2021, DOI:10.32604/sv.2021.017000 - 18 October 2021

Abstract The objective of the study is to find the tolerance on vane pitch dimensions of a Vertical Turbine (VT) pump impeller. For this purpose, the study is divided into two parts viz. to find the critical hydraulic eccentricity of a VT pump impeller by way of numerical simulations and design of experiments to find the vane pitch tolerance using critical hydraulic eccentricity. The effect of impeller vane pitch deviations on hydraulic unbalance is examined for a vertical turbine pump using Design of Experiments (DOE). A suitable orthogonal matrix has been selected with vane pitch at More >

    Umadevi. B, Dinesh P.A., Indira R., Vinay. C.V

    Molecular & Cellular Biomechanics, Vol.11, No.2, pp. 101-111, 2014, DOI:10.3970/mcb.2014.011.101

Abstract The mass transfer in an eccentric annular region through diffusion by taking blood as a Newtonian fluid with the investigation of oxygen transfer and drug transport to the tissue cells in an eccentric catheterized artery is studied. The region bounded by eccentric circles in x-y plane is mapped conformally to concentric circles in \(\xi -\eta\) plane using a conformal mapping \(z = \lambda /1 - \zeta\). The resulting governing equations are analytically solved by using transformation for the concentration. Numerical computations are carried out to understand the simultaneous~effects of absorption parameter and eccentricity on the More >

Buckling Analysis of Eccentrically Loaded Cracked Columns

    L. Nobile1, C. Carloni1

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.2, No.2, pp. 83-90, 2006, DOI:10.3970/sdhm.2006.002.083

Abstract The analysis of buckling of elastic columns is one of the first problem in structural engineering that was historically solved. Critical loads of perfect columns with various end restrains have been derived. Nevertheless, the perfect column is an idealized model. In reality, unavoidable imperfections should be considered. Solutions for transversal disturbing load, crookedness or load eccentricity have been proposed. Another frequent imperfection to be taken into account is the weakness at an interior location due to a partial edge crack. In this paper the influence of this type of imperfection on the critical load is More >
