Cognitive NFIDC-FRBFNN Control Architecture for Robust Path Tracking of Mobile Service Robots in Hospital Settings

Huda Talib Najm1,2, Ahmed Sabah Al-Araji3, Nur Syazreen Ahmad1,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.146, No.1, 2026, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2025.071837 - 29 January 2026

Abstract Mobile service robots (MSRs) in hospital environments require precise and robust trajectory tracking to ensure reliable operation under dynamic conditions, including model uncertainties and external disturbances. This study presents a cognitive control strategy that integrates a Numerical Feedforward Inverse Dynamic Controller (NFIDC) with a Feedback Radial Basis Function Neural Network (FRBFNN). The robot’s mechanical structure was designed in SolidWorks 2022 SP2.0 and validated under operational loads using finite element analysis in ANSYS 2022 R1. The NFIDC-FRBFNN framework merges proactive inverse dynamic compensation with adaptive neural learning to achieve smooth torque responses and accurate motion control.… More >

Optimized Model Based Controller with Model Plant Mismatch for NMP Mitigation in Boost Converter

    R. Prasanna1,*, Uma Govindarajan1, N. S. Bhuvaneswari2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.2, pp. 1961-1979, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.032424 - 09 February 2023

Abstract In this paper, an optimized Genetic Algorithm (GA) based internal model controller-proportional integral derivative (IMC-PID) controller has been designed for the control variable to output variable transfer function of dc-dc boost converter to mitigate the effect of non-minimum phase (NMP) behavior due to the presence of a right-half plane zero (RHPZ). This RHPZ limits the dynamic performance of the converter and leads to internal instability. The IMC PID is a streamlined counterpart of the standard feedback controller and easily achieves optimal set point and load change performance with a single filter tuning parameter λ. Also, More >

Kernel Search-Framework for Dynamic Controller Placement in Software-Defined Network

Ali Abdi Seyedkolaei1, Seyed Amin Hosseini Seno1,*, Rahmat Budiarto2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.68, No.3, pp. 3391-3410, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.017313 - 06 May 2021

Abstract In software-defined networking (SDN) networks, unlike traditional networks, the control plane is located separately in a device or program. One of the most critical problems in these networks is a controller placement problem, which has a significant impact on the network’s overall performance. This paper attempts to provide a solution to this problem aiming to reduce the operational cost of the network and improve their survivability and load balancing. The researchers have proposed a suitable framework called kernel search introducing integer programming formulations to address the controller placement problem. It demonstrates through careful computational studies More >
