Research on the Dynamic Compensation System of the Cathode Electrode Wear for a Short Electric Arc Machine Tool

    Bo Li1,3, Di Xiong2,*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.26, No.5, pp. 1007-1021, 2020, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2020.010133

Abstract A methodology of on-line monitoring of the diameter of the cathode electrode is put forward in light of the issue that the diameter of the cathode electrode cannot be detected in an accurate manner in short electric arc machine tools. The monitoring methodology is capable of precisely determining the wear amount of the cathode electrode and uses the bus module in the numerical control machine tool to feed the wear amount of the cathode electrode back to the numerical control system (CNC system). The CNC system dynamically adjusts the position of the cathode electrode by More >

Intelligent Power Compensation System Based on Adaptive Sliding Mode Control Using Soft Computing and Automation

    Qidan Zhua, Zhibo Yanga,*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.34, No.4, pp. 179-189, 2019, DOI:10.32604/csse.2019.34.179

Abstract The approach power compensator system (APCS) plays a role in the automatic carrier landing system (ACLS), and the performance of the APCS is affected by the carrier air-wake in the final-approach . In this paper, the importance of the APCS is verified through the analysis of the signal flow chart of the ACLS. Hence, it is necessary to suppress the carrier air-wake in order to improve the anti-interference ability. The adaptive sliding mode control (ASMC) not only has better dynamic tracking performance compared to the nonlinear mode, but also can efficiently resist the disturbance caused More >
