    Daguan Huang1,*, Ditao Niu2, Li Su3,*, Hao Zheng2, Qiang Fu2, Yunhe Liu1

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.10, No.12, pp. 3477-3489, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2022.021282

Abstract Coral materials can replace concrete aggregates and achieve material self-sufficiency for reducing the construction costs of island projects. This paper studies the effects of different mineral admixtures on the properties of coral aggregate concrete (CAC). The chloride concentration of CAC after different erosion times is measured using the potentiometric method, and the porosity of the CAC is calculated using thermogravimetric and drying methods. The chloride concentration of the CAC presents a two-phases distribution. The peak chloride concentration followed a power function, increasing with the erosion time. The chloride diffusion coefficient of CAC is 7.9%– 37.5% More >

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.11, pp. 2475-2490, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.021090

Abstract Soybean is an important legume food crop, and its seeds are rich in nutrients, providing humans and animals with edible oil and protein feed. However, soybean is sensitive to water requirements, and drought is an important factor limiting soybean yield and quality. This study used Heinong 84 (drought resistant variety) and Hefeng 46 (intermediate variety) as tested varieties planted in chernozem, albic, and black soils. The effects of drought stress on the activities of key enzymes in carbon metabolism and photosynthetic characteristics of soybean were studied during the flowering stage, most sensitive to water. Fugang Dong, Yuqiao Zheng*, Hao Li, Zhengwen He

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.3, pp. 1017-1029, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.020430

Abstract This work takes the bionic bamboo tower (BBT) of 2 MW wind turbine as the target, and the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) is utilized to optimize its structural parameters. Specifically, the objective functions are deformation and mass. Based on the correlation analysis, the target optimization parameters were determined. Furthermore, the Kriging model of the BBT was established through the Latin Hypercube Sampling Design (LHSD). Finally, the BBT structure is optimized with multiple objectives under the constraints of strength, natural frequency, and size. The comparison shows that the optimized BBT has an advantage in the More >

    Ruoyu Xiong1, Liming Chen1, Daren Jiang1, Yingjie Zhou1, Xueming Tan1, Xiaohua Pan1, Yongjun Zeng1, Jun Zhang2, Yanhua Zeng1,*

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.7, pp. 1495-1502, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.018485

Abstract In order to investigate the effects of different irrigation management on the textural properties of two different double-cropping late Indica rice, the effects of three irrigation management including conventional irrigation (CK), constant irrigation (CI) and alternate wetting and drying (AWD) on textural properties has been researched under field conditions of two years. The results indicated that the firmness, cohesiveness and chewiness were decreased under AWD treatment, and the stickiness was increased compared with CK, while the textural properties under CI treatment showed the opposite trend with AWD treatment. Additionally, AWD treatment signifi- cantly improved the springiness More >

Correlation Analysis of Energy Consumption of Agricultural Rotorcraft

    Lihua Zhu1,*, Zhijian Xu1, Yu Wang1, Cheire Cheng2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.2, pp. 3179-3192, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.023293

Abstract With the rapid development of unmanned aerial vehicle technology, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been widely used in the field of agricultural plant protection. Compared with fuel-driven UAVs, electrically driven rotorcrafts have many advantages such as lower cost, simpler operation, good maneuverability and cleaner power, which them popular in the plant protection. However, electrical rotorcrafts still face battery problems in actual operation, which limits its working time and application. Aiming at this issue, this paper studied the influence of rotorcraft flight parameters on energy consumption through series of carefully designed flight experiments. First of all,… More >

Inferential Statistics and Machine Learning Models for Short-Term Wind Power Forecasting

Ming Zhang, Hongbo Li, Xing Deng*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.1, pp. 237-252, 2022, DOI:10.32604/EE.2022.017916

Abstract The inherent randomness, intermittence and volatility of wind power generation compromise the quality of the wind power system, resulting in uncertainty in the system's optimal scheduling. As a result, it's critical to improve power quality and assure real-time power grid scheduling and grid-connected wind farm operation. Inferred statistics are utilized in this research to infer general features based on the selected information, confirming that there are differences between two forecasting categories: Forecast Category 1 (0–11 h ahead) and Forecast Category 2 (12–23 h ahead). In z-tests, the null hypothesis provides the corresponding quantitative findings. To More >

    Shuo Qu1, Yaolei Jiao2, Lamboro Abraham2, Piwu Wang1,*

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.90, No.4, pp. 1177-1192, 2021, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2021.015206

Abstract The fatty acid dehydrogenase gene plays an important role in regulating the oleic acid content in soybean. Genome-wide association study screened out soybean oleic acid related gene Gm15G117700. A fragment size of 693bp was obtained by PCR amplification of the gene and, it was connected by seamless cloning technology to the pMD18T cloning vector. Based on the gene sequence cloned, bioinformatic analysis of gene protein was performed. The overexpression vector of Gm15G117700 and the CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing vector were constructed. The positive plants were obtained by Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of soybean cotyledon nodes and T2 plants were… More >

    Pengshou Xie1, Guoqiang Ma1, *, Tao Feng1, Yan Yan1, 2, Xueming Han1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.2, pp. 1127-1137, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.09695

Abstract Undoubtedly, uncooperative or malicious nodes threaten the safety of Internet of Vehicles (IoV) by destroying routing or data. To this end, some researchers have designed some node detection mechanisms and trust calculating algorithms based on some different feature parameters of IoV such as communication, data, energy, etc., to detect and evaluate vehicle nodes. However, it is difficult to effectively assess the trust level of a vehicle node only by message forwarding, data consistency, and energy sufficiency. In order to resolve these problems, a novel mechanism and a new trust calculating model is proposed in this… More >
