Hash-Indexing Block-Based Deduplication Algorithm for Reducing Storage in the Cloud

    D. Viji*, S. Revathy

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.1, pp. 27-42, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.030259 - 20 January 2023

Abstract Cloud storage is essential for managing user data to store and retrieve from the distributed data centre. The storage service is distributed as pay a service for accessing the size to collect the data. Due to the massive amount of data stored in the data centre containing similar information and file structures remaining in multi-copy, duplication leads to increase storage space. The potential deduplication system doesn’t make efficient data reduction because of inaccuracy in finding similar data analysis. It creates a complex nature to increase the storage consumption under cost. To resolve this problem, this… More >

Sentiment Analysis in Social Media for Competitive Environment Using Content Analysis

    Shahid Mehmood1, Imran Ahmad1, Muhammad Adnan Khan1,2, Faheem Khan3, T. Whangbo3,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.3, pp. 5603-5618, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.023785 - 14 January 2022

Abstract Education sector has witnessed several changes in the recent past. These changes have forced private universities into fierce competition with each other to get more students enrolled. This competition has resulted in the adoption of marketing practices by private universities similar to commercial brands. To get competitive gain, universities must observe and examine the students’ feedback on their own social media sites along with the social media sites of their competitors. This study presents a novel framework which integrates numerous analytical approaches including statistical analysis, sentiment analysis, and text mining to accomplish a competitive analysis… More >

Duty Cycling Centralized Hierarchical Routing Protocol With Content Analysis Duty Cycling Mechanism for Wireless Sensor Networks

    Anar A. Hady

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.35, No.5, pp. 347-355, 2020, DOI:10.32604/csse.2020.35.347

Abstract In this paper, a Duty Cycling Centralized Hierarchical Protocol (DCCHP) has been proposed for wireless sensor networks. DCCHP is an energy efficient protocol that prolongs the lifetime of the network by applying a duty cycling mechanism named DCM that chooses the nodes that send unimportant data in a certain epoch to be candidates to be put to sleep. But if the proposed equations for choosing the cluster head nodes put any of them in a high priority it works in the active mode. When comparing DCCHP to the previously proposed LEACH-CS, LEACH-C protocols, using a More >

Research on Action Recognition and Content Analysis in Videos Based on DNN and MLN

    Wei Song1,2,*, Jing Yu3, Xiaobing Zhao1,2, Antai Wang4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.61, No.3, pp. 1189-1204, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.06361

Abstract In the current era of multimedia information, it is increasingly urgent to realize intelligent video action recognition and content analysis. In the past few years, video action recognition, as an important direction in computer vision, has attracted many researchers and made much progress. First, this paper reviews the latest video action recognition methods based on Deep Neural Network and Markov Logic Network. Second, we analyze the characteristics of each method and the performance from the experiment results. Then compare the emphases of these methods and discuss the application scenarios. Finally, we consider and prospect the More >
