Rien ne sert de courir, il faut partir à point ; Leçons apprises d’une intervention psychologique en oncologie : de l’importance de conduire des études pilotes et/ou de faisabilité dans les interventions complexes

    Sophie Lelorain1,*, Christelle Duprez2, Laura Caton2, Marie-Mai Nguyen2, Gildas d’Almeida2, Guillaume Piessen3, Alexis Cortot4

    Psycho-Oncologie, Vol.17, No.3, pp. 201-209, 2023, DOI:10.32604/po.2023.044910 - 30 September 2023

More >

Patient engagé : faire de mon expérience une réelle opportunité

    B. Porro

    Psycho-Oncologie, Vol.17, No.1, pp. 25-30, 2023, DOI:10.3166/pson-2022-0225

Gene expression of granulosa and cumulus cells: The prospect in predicting the quality and developmental competence of oocytes in vitro maturation

    BICHUN ZHAO1, XUEQING WU2,*, YITONG YUAN1, YUANTAO GAO1, XIAO LI2, RUOCHEN DU1, SUMING XU2, RUXIN ZHANG1, CHUNFANG WANG1,*

    BIOCELL, Vol.44, No.4, pp. 487-499, 2020, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2020.011638 - 24 December 2020

Abstract In vitro maturation (IVM), a promising assisted reproductive technology (ART), has been evolving in clinical trials and applications. There is a huge potential demand for IVM in clinical practice because it reduces the stimulation of gonadotropins to patients and provides evidence for the safety of neonatal birth. Unfortunately, the maturation rate of oocytes in vivo is not as high as it is in vivo due to a different microenvironment. Moreover, there are still controversies in predicting the developmental capability of oocytes in IVM. The granulosa cells (GCs) and cumulus cells (CCs), closely surrounding the oocytes, play a critical… More >

Validation of a Self-Assessment Scale for Therapists’ Perception of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Skills in China: A Mixed Method

    Yan Liu1,#, Zhihua Guo1,#, Yun Ma1, Hongyan Song1, Xiaoqi Li1, Ling Tan1, Zhanjiang Li1,*, Jing Sun2,*

    International Journal of Mental Health Promotion, Vol.22, No.2, pp. 39-57, 2020, DOI:10.32604/IJMHP.2020.011438 - 16 June 2020

Abstract Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a first-line psychotherapy in Western countries, yet there have been limited studies examined the required skills based on perception of CBT therapists in the context of Western countries, and there has been no such research in China. Currently, there is no exist of a selfassessment scale to evaluate the required competence perceived by CBT therapists in China. This study used both qualitative and quantitative method to develop a self-assessment tool by CBT therapist to provide their perception about required skills in the treatment of mental disorders in China. Qualitative research… More >

Deterioration of Antioxidant Competence in Barley Lesion Mimic Mutant 194

    Qunqun Hao1,#, Bo Lyu2,#, Yuhan Tang1,#, Deya Wang1, Yuanyuan Li1, Qingliang Li1, Yuhai Wang1,* and Wenqiang Wang1,*

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.88, No.2, pp. 109-117, 2019, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2019.06734 - 10 May 2024

Abstract A barley mutant, 194, was observed to exhibit a leaf spot phenotype over the whole course of its growing period. In this study, the phenotype and antioxidant competence were studied in the lesion mimic mutant 194. Plant height was slightly higher in mutant 194 than in the wild type (WT). In addition, leaf spot per plant in mutant 194 was significantly higher than in WT. Antioxidant competence, as indicated by reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation, antioxidant enzyme activity, and the expression of antioxidant enzyme-encoding genes was also assessed in mutant 194. Compared to the WT, More >

Immature oocyte quality and maturational competence of porcine cumulus-oocyte complexes subpopulations

GABRIEL MARTIN ALVAREZ1*, GABRIEL CARLOS DALVIT1, MARÍA VERÓNICA ACHI1, MARCELO SERGIO MIGUEZ2, PABLO DANIEL CETICA1

    BIOCELL, Vol.33, No.3, pp. 167-177, 2009, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2009.33.167

Abstract Porcine immature oocyte quality (i.e., that of live oocytes at the germinal vesicle stage) was evaluated according to features of the surrounding cumulus, aiming to establish maturational competence of different subpopulations of such cumulus-oocyte complexes. Six subpopulations were identified: A1 (with a dense cumulus), A2 (with a translucent cumulus), B1 (with the corona radiata), B2 (partly naked oocytes), C (naked oocytes), D (with a dark cumulus). The percent incidence of live oocyte in these subpopulations changed significantly as related to cumulus features, however the occurrence of oocytes in the germinal vesicle stage was lower in class D… More >
