    Zhihong Lin1, Zeng Zeng2, Yituan Yu2, Yinlin Ren1, Xuesong Qiu1,*, Jinqian Chen1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.81, No.1, pp. 1641-1665, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.055802 - 15 October 2024

Abstract For permanent faults (PF) in the power communication network (PCN), such as link interruptions, the time-sensitive networking (TSN) relied on by PCN, typically employs spatial redundancy fault-tolerance methods to keep service stability and reliability, which often limits TSN scheduling performance in fault-free ideal states. So this paper proposes a graph attention residual network-based routing and fault-tolerant scheduling mechanism (GRFS) for data flow in PCN, which specifically includes a communication system architecture for integrated terminals based on a cyclic queuing and forwarding (CQF) model and fault recovery method, which reduces the impact of faults by simplified… More >

Examining the Quality Metrics of a Communication Network with Distributed Software-Defined Networking Architecture

Khawaja Tahir Mehmood1,2,*, Shahid Atiq1, Intisar Ali Sajjad3, Muhammad Majid Hussain4, Malik M. Abdul Basit2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.141, No.2, pp. 1673-1708, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2024.053903 - 27 September 2024

Abstract Software-Defined Networking (SDN), with segregated data and control planes, provides faster data routing, stability, and enhanced quality metrics, such as throughput (Th), maximum available bandwidth (Bd(max)), data transfer (DTransfer), and reduction in end-to-end delay (D(E-E)). This paper explores the critical work of deploying SDN in largescale Data Center Networks (DCNs) to enhance its Quality of Service (QoS) parameters, using logically distributed control configurations. There is a noticeable increase in Delay(E-E) when adopting SDN with a unified (single) control structure in big DCNs to handle Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) requests causing a reduction in network quality parameters (Bd(max), Th, DTransfer, D(E-E),… More > Graphic Abstract

Research on Site Planning of Mobile Communication Network

    Jiahan He1, Guangjun Liang1,2,3,*, Meng Li4, Kefan Yao1, Bixia Wang1, Lu Li5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.80, No.2, pp. 3243-3261, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.051710 - 15 August 2024

Abstract In this paper, considering the cost of base station, coverage, call quality, and other practical factors, a multi-objective optimal site planning scheme is proposed. Firstly, based on practical needs, mathematical modeling methods were used to establish mathematical expressions for the three sub-objectives of cost objectives, coverage objectives, and quality objectives. Then, a multi-objective optimization model was established by combining threshold and traffic volume constraints. In order to reduce the time complexity of optimization, a non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA) is used to solve the multi-objective optimization problem of site planning. Finally, a strategy for clustering… More >

Secure Transmission of Compressed Medical Image Sequences on Communication Networks Using Motion Vector Watermarking

Rafi Ullah1,*, Mohd Hilmi bin Hasan1, Sultan Daud Khan2, Mussadiq Abdul Rahim3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.78, No.3, pp. 3283-3301, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.046305 - 26 March 2024

Abstract Medical imaging plays a key role within modern hospital management systems for diagnostic purposes. Compression methodologies are extensively employed to mitigate storage demands and enhance transmission speed, all while upholding image quality. Moreover, an increasing number of hospitals are embracing cloud computing for patient data storage, necessitating meticulous scrutiny of server security and privacy protocols. Nevertheless, considering the widespread availability of multimedia tools, the preservation of digital data integrity surpasses the significance of compression alone. In response to this concern, we propose a secure storage and transmission solution for compressed medical image sequences, such as… More >

RAISE: A Resilient Anonymous Information Sharing Environment

    Ning Hu1, Ling Liu1, Xin Liu3, Kaijun Wu2, Yue Zhao2,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.137, No.3, pp. 2743-2759, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.026939 - 03 August 2023

Abstract With the widespread application of cloud computing and network virtualization technologies, more and more enterprise applications are directly deployed in the cloud. However, the traditional TCP/IP network transmission model does not fully consider the information security issues caused by the uncontrollable internet environment. Network security communication solutions represented by encrypted virtual private networks (VPN) are facing multiple security threats. In fact, during the communication process, the user application needs to protect not only the content of the communication but also the behavior of the communication, such as the communication relationship, the communication protocol, and so… More >

Computation of PoA for Selfish Node Detection and Resource Allocation Using Game Theory

    S. Kanmani1,*, M. Murali2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.47, No.2, pp. 2583-2598, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.037265 - 28 July 2023

Abstract The introduction of new technologies has increased communication network coverage and the number of associating nodes in dynamic communication networks (DCN). As the network has the characteristics like decentralized and dynamic, few nodes in the network may not associate with other nodes. These uncooperative nodes also known as selfish nodes corrupt the performance of the cooperative nodes. Namely, the nodes cause congestion, high delay, security concerns, and resource depletion. This study presents an effective selfish node detection method to address these problems. The Price of Anarchy (PoA) and the Price of Stability (PoS) in Game More >

Abstract The main function of the power communication business is to monitor, control and manage the power communication network to ensure normal and stable operation of the power communication network. Communication services related to dispatching data networks and the transmission of fault information or feeder automation have high requirements for delay. If processing time is prolonged, a power business cascade reaction may be triggered. In order to solve the above problems, this paper establishes an edge object-linked agent business deployment model for power communication network to unify the management of data collection, resource allocation and task… More >

Abstract As the scale of power networks has expanded, the demand for multi-service transmission has gradually increased. The emergence of WiFi6 has improved the transmission efficiency and resource utilization of wireless networks. To solve this problem, this paper combines orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) technology and dynamic channel optimization technology to design a fault-tolerant WiFi6 dynamic resource optimization method for achieving high quality wireless services in a wirelessly covered network even when an AP fails. First, under the premise of AP… More >

Abstract With the frequent occurrence of telecommunications and network fraud crimes in recent years, new frauds have emerged one after another which has caused huge losses to the people. However, due to the lack of an effective preventive mechanism, the police are often in a passive position. Using technologies such as web crawlers, feature engineering, deep learning, and artificial intelligence, this paper proposes a user portrait fraud warning scheme based on Weibo public data. First, we perform preliminary screening and cleaning based on the keyword “defrauded” to obtain valid fraudulent user Identity Documents (IDs). The basic… More >
