IoT Based Smart Framework Monitoring System for Power Station

    Arodh Lal Karn1, Panneer Selvam Manickam2, R. Saravanan3,*, Roobaea Alroobaea4, Jasem Almotiri4, Sudhakar Sengan5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.3, pp. 6019-6037, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.032791 - 28 December 2022

Abstract Power Station (PS) monitoring systems are becoming critical, ensuring electrical safety through early warning, and in the event of a PS fault, the power supply is quickly disconnected. Traditional technologies are based on relays and don’t have a way to capture and store user data when there is a problem. The proposed framework is designed with the goal of providing smart environments for protecting electrical types of equipment. This paper proposes an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Framework (SF) for monitoring the Power Devices (PD) which are being used in power substations. A Real-Time Monitoring… More >

Rider Optimization Algorithm Based Optimal Cloud Server Selection in E-Learning

    R. Soundhara Raja Pandian*, C. Christopher Columbus

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 1749-1762, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.028014 - 15 June 2022

Abstract Currently, e-learning is one of the most prevalent educational methods because of its need in today’s world. Virtual classrooms and web-based learning are becoming the new method of teaching remotely. The students experience a lack of access to resources commonly the educational material. In remote locations, educational institutions face significant challenges in accessing various web-based materials due to bandwidth and network infrastructure limitations. The objective of this study is to demonstrate an optimization and queueing technique for allocating optimal servers and slots for users to access cloud-based e-learning applications. The proposed method provides the optimization… More >

Phish Block: A Blockchain Framework for Phish Detection in Cloud

    R. N. Karthika*, C. Valliyammai, M. Naveena

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.1, pp. 777-795, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.024086 - 01 June 2022

Abstract The data in the cloud is protected by various mechanisms to ensure security aspects and user’s privacy. But, deceptive attacks like phishing might obtain the user’s data and use it for malicious purposes. In Spite of much technological advancement, phishing acts as the first step in a series of attacks. With technological advancements, availability and access to the phishing kits has improved drastically, thus making it an ideal tool for the hackers to execute the attacks. The phishing cases indicate use of foreign characters to disguise the original Uniform Resource Locator (URL), typosquatting the popular… More >

    Anita Gehlot1, Rajesh Singh1, Sweety Siwach2, Shaik Vaseem Akram1, Khalid Alsubhi3, Aman Singh4,*, Irene Delgado Noya4,5, Sushabhan Choudhury2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.1, pp. 999-1015, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.023861 - 24 February 2022

Abstract Wearable monitoring devices are in demand in recent times for monitoring daily activities including exercise. Moreover, it is widely utilizing for preventing injuries of athletes during a practice session and in few cases, it leads to muscle fatigue. At present, emerging technology like the internet of things (IoT) and sensors is empowering to monitor and visualize the physical data from any remote location through internet connectivity. In this study, an IoT-enabled wearable device is proposing for monitoring and identifying the muscle fatigue condition using a surface electromyogram (sEMG) sensor. Normally, the EMG signal is utilized… More >

A Wireless ECG Monitoring and Analysis System Using the IoT Cloud

    Anas Bushnag*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.1, pp. 51-70, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.024005 - 05 January 2022

Abstract A portable electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring system is essential for elderly and remote patients who are not able to visit the hospital regularly. The system connects a patient to his/her doctor through an Internet of Things (IoT) cloud server that provides all the information needed to diagnose heart diseases. Patients use an ECG monitoring device to collect and upload information regarding their current medical situation via the Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol to the server. The IoT cloud server performs further analysis that can be useful for both the doctor and the patient. Moreover, the… More >
