FIBTNet: Building Change Detection for Remote Sensing Images Using Feature Interactive Bi-Temporal Network

    Jing Wang1,2,*, Tianwen Lin1, Chen Zhang1, Jun Peng1,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.80, No.3, pp. 4621-4641, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.053206 - 12 September 2024

Abstract In this paper, a feature interactive bi-temporal change detection network (FIBTNet) is designed to solve the problem of pseudo change in remote sensing image building change detection. The network improves the accuracy of change detection through bi-temporal feature interaction. FIBTNet designs a bi-temporal feature exchange architecture (EXA) and a bi-temporal difference extraction architecture (DFA). EXA improves the feature exchange ability of the model encoding process through multiple space, channel or hybrid feature exchange methods, while DFA uses the change residual (CR) module to improve the ability of the model decoding process to extract different features More >

Analyzing the Impact of Scene Transitions on Indoor Camera Localization through Scene Change Detection in Real-Time

    Muhammad S. Alam1,5,*, Farhan B. Mohamed1,3, Ali Selamat2, Faruk Ahmed4, AKM B. Hossain6,7

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.39, No.3, pp. 417-436, 2024, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2024.051999 - 11 July 2024

Abstract Real-time indoor camera localization is a significant problem in indoor robot navigation and surveillance systems. The scene can change during the image sequence and plays a vital role in the localization performance of robotic applications in terms of accuracy and speed. This research proposed a real-time indoor camera localization system based on a recurrent neural network that detects scene change during the image sequence. An annotated image dataset trains the proposed system and predicts the camera pose in real-time. The system mainly improved the localization performance of indoor cameras by more accurately predicting the camera More >

ResCD-FCN: Semantic Scene Change Detection Using Deep Neural Networks

    S. Eliza Femi Sherley1,*, J. M. Karthikeyan1, N. Bharath Raj1, R. Prabakaran2, A. Abinaya1, S. V. V. Lakshmi3

    Journal on Artificial Intelligence, Vol.4, No.4, pp. 215-227, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jai.2022.034931 - 25 May 2023

Abstract Semantic change detection is extension of change detection task in which it is not only used to identify the changed regions but also to analyze the land area semantic (labels/categories) details before and after the timelines are analyzed. Periodical land change analysis is used for many real time applications for valuation purposes. Majority of the research works are focused on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) which tries to analyze changes alone. Semantic information of changes appears to be missing, there by absence of communication between the different semantic timelines and changes detected over the region happens.… More >

Improved Test Case Selection Algorithm to Reduce Time in Regression Testing

Israr Ghani*, Wan M. N. Wan-Kadir, Adila Firdaus Arbain, Noraini Ibrahim

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.1, pp. 635-650, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.025027 - 24 February 2022

Abstract Regression testing (RT) is an essential but an expensive activity in software development. RT confirms that new faults/errors will not have occurred in the modified program. RT efficiency can be improved through an effective technique of selected only modified test cases that appropriate to the modifications within the given time frame. Earlier, several test case selection approaches have been introduced, but either these techniques were not sufficient according to the requirements of software tester experts or they are ineffective and cannot be used for available test suite specifications and architecture. To address these limitations, we… More >

Deep Feature Extraction and Feature Fusion for Bi-Temporal Satellite Image Classification

    Anju Asokan1, J. Anitha1, Bogdan Patrut2, Dana Danciulescu3, D. Jude Hemanth1,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.1, pp. 373-388, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.012364 - 30 October 2020

Abstract Multispectral images contain a large amount of spatial and spectral data which are effective in identifying change areas. Deep feature extraction is important for multispectral image classification and is evolving as an interesting research area in change detection. However, many deep learning framework based approaches do not consider both spatial and textural details into account. In order to handle this issue, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based multi-feature extraction and fusion is introduced which considers both spatial and textural features. This method uses CNN to extract the spatio-spectral features from individual channels and fuse them More >
