    Abstract

Time series forecasting plays a significant role in numerous applications, including but not limited to, industrial planning, water consumption, medical domains, exchange rates and consumer price index. The main problem is insufficient forecasting accuracy. The present study proposes a hybrid forecasting methods to address this need. The proposed method includes three models. The first model is based on the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) statistical model; the second model is a back propagation neural network (BPNN) with adaptive slope and momentum parameters; and the third model is a hybridization between ARIMA and BPNN (ARIMA/BPNN) and artificial neural networks and ARIMA… More >

    Oncologie, Vol.23, No.1, pp. 3-38, 2021, DOI:10.32604/Oncologie.2021.016041

Abstract Introduction: For several centuries, scientists such as Avicenna have been trying to understand the processes involved in the spread of epidemics. Isolation instructions appeared during the black plague. Magistrates and crisis managers manage the protection of all populations. Nowadays, regional health agencies regulate the provision of health care even in times of health crisis. Methods: The creation of the COVID and Cancer regional committee organized and run by the ARS and the Oncobretagne regional cancer network enables exchanges between oncology health professionals. This committee relays information to national representatives: Ministry, INCa (National Cancer Institute) who adjust their recommendations to cancer… More >

    Oncologie, Vol.23, No.1, pp. 39-46, 2021, DOI:10.32604/Oncologie.2021.015985

Abstract Since October 2020, the COVID-19 epidemic has affected the care of patients in the field of oncology/hematology in the public and private establishments. The “Unité de coordination en onco-geriatrie région Bretagne” (coordinating unit in onco-geriatrics of the Brittany region) has wished to have a survey with specialists in cancerology so as to make an inventory of the care given to cancer patients aged over 75 in the region. An inquest was made in the course of October 2020, following the first lock down, with 24 specialists. 67% of them feel they lack in clear orders/institutional prescriptions related with this epidemic.… More >

Value of Mir-1271 and GPC3 in Prognosis Evaluation of Liver Cancer Patients after Liver Transarterial Chemoembolization

    Xin Chang1,2,#,*, Jin Wang2,#, Caifang Ni1

    Oncologie, Vol.23, No.1, pp. 119-130, 2021, DOI:10.32604/oncologie.2021.014152

Abstract Objective: This research was designed to observe the value of miR-1271 and GPC3 in evaluating the prognosis of liver cancer (LC) patients after liver transarterial chemoembolization (TACE). Methods: A total of 80 patients diagnosed as LC in our hospital from January 2018 to April 2019 were included in the LC group (LCG), and then assigned into a survival group (SG) and a death group (DG) based on prognosis. Seventy healthy subjects undergoing physical examination simultaneously were included in the normal group (NG). miR-1271 and GPC3 in serum of two groups of subjects were tested via qRT-PCR. ROC curve was drawn.… More >

Effects of Ulinastatin Combined with Dexmedetomidine on Postoperative Cognitive Function and Central Nerve Specific Protein Level in Elderly Colorectal Cancer Patients after Laparoscopic

    Li Bao1, Xiaowei Tian2, Jing Zhang3, Li Chen4, Kui Gao5,*

    Oncologie, Vol.22, No.3, pp. 167-178, 2020, DOI:10.32604/oncologie.2020.012495

Abstract Ulinastatin combined with dexmedetomidine can improve postoperative cognitive function and central nerve specific protein (S-100β) level in elderly colorectal cancer (CC) patients after laparoscopic. Altogether 178 elderly patients who underwent laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery in our hospital from February 2018 to August 2019 were selected and divided into two groups according to the treatment methods. Those anesthetized by dexmedetomidine were regarded as the routine group (RG, 83 cases), and those anesthetized by ulinastatin and dexmedetomidine were considered as the combined group (CG, 95 cases). The operation conditions of the two groups, the pain scores (VAS) at 4 h, 24 h… More >
