    Dayong Yu

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.3, pp. 571-580, 2018, DOI:10.31209/2018.100000024

Abstract In the application of a semi-physical simulation system of a space docking mechanism, the simulation precision is determined by pose accuracy of the parallel manipulator. In order to improve pose accuracy, an effective kinematic calibration method is presented to enable the full set of kinematic parameter errors to be estimated by measuring the docking mechanism’s poses. A new calibration model that takes into account geometrical parameter errors and coordinates transformation errors is derived by using a differential geometry method. Based on the calibration model, an iterative least square algorithm is utilized to calculate the above errors. Simulation and experimental results… More >

Abstract In the Big-Data era, currently how to automatically realize acquisition, refining and fast retrieval of the target information in a surveillance video has become an urgent demand in the public security video surveillance field. This paper proposes a new gun-dome camera cooperative system, which solves the above problem partly. The system adopts a master-slave static panorama-variable view dualcamera cooperative video-monitoring system. In this dual-camera system the gun camera static camera) with a wide viewing -angle lenses is in charge of the pedestrian detection and the dome camera can maneuver its focus and cradle orientation to get the clear and enlarged… More >

    Bo Xiao1, Yinghang Jiang2, Qi Liu2, 5, *, Xiaodong Liu3, Mingxu Sun4, *

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.64, No.1, pp. 389-399, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.06092

Abstract MEMS accelerometers are widely used in various fields due to their small size and low cost, and have good application prospects. However, the low accuracy limits its range of applications. To ensure data accuracy and safety we need to calibrate MEMS accelerometers. Many authors have improved accelerometer accuracy by calculating calibration parameters, and a large number of published calibration methods have been confusing. In this context, this paper introduces these techniques and methods, analyzes and summarizes the main error models and calibration procedures, and provides useful suggestions. Finally, the content of the accelerometer calibration method needs to be overcome. More >

An Adaptive Image Calibration Algorithm for Steganalysis

    Xuyu Xiang1, Jiaohua Qin1, *, Junshan Tan1, Neal N. Xiong1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.62, No.2, pp. 963-976, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.06394

Abstract In this paper, a new adaptive calibration algorithm for image steganalysis is proposed. Steganography disturbs the dependence between neighboring pixels and decreases the neighborhood node degree. Firstly, we analyzed the effect of steganography on the neighborhood node degree of cover images. Then, the calibratable pixels are marked by the analysis of neighborhood node degree. Finally, the strong correlation calibration image is constructed by revising the calibratable pixels. Experimental results reveal that compared with secondary steganography the image calibration method significantly increased the detection accuracy for LSB matching steganography on low embedding ratio. The proposed method also has a better performance… More >

Shang Yang, Sun Xiangyi, Yang Xia, Wang Xi, Yu Qifeng

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.17, No.4, pp. 117-118, 2011, DOI:10.3970/icces.2011.017.117

Abstract A new method of camera calibration is presented for exact videometrics in large field. The camera to be calibrated and the control points used in the new method are both close to the ground. In the condition that the control points and the camera are approximately coplanar, the main point position, focus length, lens distortion coefficients and the camera's position and attitude parameters are calibrated precisely by the method. Two calibration images are taken by the camera to be calibrated in measurement state and vertical rotation state respectively. If the vertical tangent lens distortion can be neglected or the movement… More >

Radiation Cross Calibration Based on GF-1 Side Swing Angle

    Yong Xie1, Zui Tao2,*, Wen Shao3, John J. Qu4, Hai Huan3, Chuanyang Tian3

    Journal on Internet of Things, Vol.1, No.1, pp. 9-16, 2019, DOI:10.32604/jiot.2019.05859

Abstract Radiation cross-calibration is an effective method to check and verify the accuracy and stability of sensor measurements. Satellites with high radiation accuracy are used to calibrate satellites with low radiation accuracy. In order to ensure the reliability of the radiation cross-calibration method, we propose to obtain the gain and offset of the GaoFen-1 satellite by linear regression after the radiation cross-calibration of the satellite with low precision and compare with the official coefficient. Finally, we get the relationship between the error in radiation cross-calibration results and side swing angle. The linear correction coefficients of each band are: 0.618, 0.625, 0.512… More >

    Mingxu Sun1,#,*, Yinghang Jiang2,3,#, Qi Liu3,4,*, Xiaodong Liu4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.60, No.1, pp. 67-83, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.06079

Abstract A Functional Electrical stimulation (FES) therapy is a common rehabilitation intervention after stroke, and finite state machine (FSM) has proven to be an effective and intuitive FES control method. The FSM uses the data information generated by the accelerometer to robustly trigger state transitions. In the medical field, it is necessary to obtain highly safe and accurate acceleration data. In order to ensure the accuracy of the acceleration sensor data without affecting the accuracy of the motion analysis, we need to perform acceleration big data calibration. In this context, we propose a method for robustly calculating the auto-calibration gain using… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.60, No.2, pp. 115-138, 2010, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2010.060.115

Abstract This paper presents a new method for the calibration of biplanar radiography that makes possible performing 3D reconstructions of the spine using conventional radiological systems. A novel approach is proposed in which a measuring device is used for determining focal distance and have a rough estimation of translation parameters. Using these data, 3D reconstructions of the spine with correct scale were successfully obtained without the need of calibration objects, something that was not previously achieved. For superior results, two optional steps may be executed that involve an optimisation of the geometrical parameters, followed by a scale adjustment with a very… More >

Abstract The use of shape memory alloys (SMA) in an increasing number of applications in many fields of engineering, and in particular in biomedical engineering, is leading to a growing interest toward an exhaustive modeling of their macroscopic behavior in order to construct reliable simulation tools for SMA-based devices. In this paper, we review the properties of a robust three-dimensional model able to reproduce both pseudo-elastic and shape-memory effect; then we calibrate the model parameters on experimental data and, finally, we exploit the model to perform the finite element analysis of pseudo-elastic Nitinol stent deployment in a simplified atherosclerotic artery model.
