ECO-BAT: A New Routing Protocol for Energy Consumption Optimization Based on BAT Algorithm in WSN

    Mohammed Kaddi1,*, Abdallah Banana2, Mohammed Omari1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.2, pp. 1497-1510, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.012116

Abstract Wireless sensor network (WSN) has been widely used due to its vast range of applications. The energy problem is one of the important problems influencing the complete application. Sensor nodes use very small batteries as a power source and replacing them is not an easy task. With this restriction, the sensor nodes must conserve their energy and extend the network lifetime as long as possible. Also, these limits motivate much of the research to suggest solutions in all layers of the protocol stack to save energy. So, energy management efficiency becomes a key requirement in WSN design. The efficiency of… More >

Evolved Algorithm and Vibration Stability for Nonlinear Disturbed Security Systems

    Tcw Chen1, Wray Marriott2, Ann Nicholson3, Tim Chen4, Mars Kmieckowiak5, Jcy Chen6,*

    Sound & Vibration, Vol.53, No.2, pp. 29-37, 2019, DOI:10.32604/sv.2019.04224

Abstract In this paper, a method sustaining system stability after decomposition is proposed. Based on the stability criterion derived from the energy function, a set of intelligent controllers is synthesized which is used to maintain the stability of the system. The sustainable stability problem can be reformulated as a Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI) problem. The key to guaranteeing the stability of the system as a whole is to find a common symmetrically positive definite matrix for all subsystems. Furthermore, the Evolved Bat Algorithm (EBA) is employed to replace the pole assignment method and the conventional mathematical methods for solving the LMI.… More >

A Novel Improved Bat Algorithm in UAV Path Planning

    Na Lin1, Jiacheng Tang1, Xianwei Li2,3, Liang Zhao1,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.61, No.1, pp. 323-344, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.05674

Abstract Path planning algorithm is the key point to UAV path planning scenario. Many traditional path planning methods still suffer from low convergence rate and insufficient robustness. In this paper, three main methods are contributed to solving these problems. First, the improved artificial potential field (APF) method is adopted to accelerate the convergence process of the bat’s position update. Second, the optimal success rate strategy is proposed to improve the adaptive inertia weight of bat algorithm. Third chaos strategy is proposed to avoid falling into a local optimum. Compared with standard APF and chaos strategy in UAV path planning scenarios, the… More >
