Research Progress of Photovoltaic Power Prediction Technology Based on Artificial Intelligence Methods

    Daixuan Zhou1, Yujin Liu1, Xu Wang2, Fuxing Wang1, Yan Jia2,*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.121, No.12, pp. 3573-3616, 2024, DOI:10.32604/ee.2024.055853 - 22 November 2024

Abstract With the increasing proportion of renewable energy in China’s energy structure, among which photovoltaic power generation is also developing rapidly. As the photovoltaic (PV) power output is highly unstable and subject to a variety of factors, it brings great challenges to the stable operation and dispatch of the power grid. Therefore, accurate short-term PV power prediction is of great significance to ensure the safe grid connection of PV energy. Currently, the short-term prediction of PV power has received extensive attention and research, but the accuracy and precision of the prediction have to be further improved. More > Graphic Abstract

Improved Transportation Model with Internet of Things Using Artificial Intelligence Algorithm

Ayman Khallel Al-Ani1,*, Shams Ul Arfeen Laghari2, Hariprasath Manoharan3, Shitharth Selvarajan4, Mueen Uddin5

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.76, No.2, pp. 2261-2279, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.038534 - 30 August 2023

Abstract In this paper, the application of transportation systems in real-time traffic conditions is evaluated with data handling representations. The proposed method is designed in such a way as to detect the number of loads that are present in a vehicle where functionality tasks are computed in the system. Compared to the existing approach, the design model in the proposed method is made by dividing the computing areas into several cluster regions, thereby reducing the complex monitoring system where control errors are minimized. Furthermore, a route management technique is combined with Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithm to More >

An Artificial Intelligence Algorithm for the Real-Time Early Detection of Sticking Phenomena in Horizontal Shale Gas Wells

Qing Wang*, Haige Wang, Hongchun Huang, Lubin Zhuo, Guodong Ji

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.19, No.10, pp. 2569-2578, 2023, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2023.025349 - 25 June 2023

Abstract Sticking is the most serious cause of failure in complex drilling operations. In the present work a novel “early warning” method based on an artificial intelligence algorithm is proposed to overcome some of the known problems associated with existing sticking-identification technologies. The method is tested against a practical case study (Southern Sichuan shale gas drilling operations). It is shown that the twelve sets of sticking fault diagnostic results obtained from a simulation are all consistent with the actual downhole state; furthermore, the results from four groups of verification samples are also consistent with the actual More >

Review of Optical Character Recognition for Power System Image Based on Artificial Intelligence Algorithm

    Xun Zhang1, Wanrong Bai1, Haoyang Cui2,*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.3, pp. 665-679, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.020342 - 03 January 2023

Abstract Optical Character Recognition (OCR) refers to a technology that uses image processing technology and character recognition algorithms to identify characters on an image. This paper is a deep study on the recognition effect of OCR based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms, in which the different AI algorithms for OCR analysis are classified and reviewed. Firstly, the mechanisms and characteristics of artificial neural network-based OCR are summarized. Secondly, this paper explores machine learning-based OCR, and draws the conclusion that the algorithms available for this form of OCR are still in their infancy, with low generalization and More >

Detecting and Analysing Fake Opinions Using Artificial Intelligence Algorithms

Mosleh Hmoud Al-Adhaileh1, Fawaz Waselallah Alsaade2,*

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.1, pp. 643-655, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.021225 - 26 October 2021

Abstract In e-commerce and on social media, identifying fake opinions has become a tremendous challenge. Such opinions are widely generated on the internet by fake viewers, also called fraudsters. They write deceptive reviews that purport to reflect actual user experience either to promote some products or to defame others. They also target the reputations of e-businesses. Their aim is to mislead customers to make a wrong purchase decision by selecting undesired products. Such reviewers are often paid by rival e-business companies to compose positive reviews of their products and/or negative reviews of other companies’ products. The… More >

Improve the Accuracy of Fall Detection Based on Artificial Intelligence Algorithm

    Ming-Chih Chen, Yin-Ting Cheng*, Ru-Wei Chen

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.128, No.3, pp. 1103-1119, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.015589 - 11 August 2021

Abstract This work presents a fall detection system based on artificial intelligence. The system incorporates miniature wearable devices for fall detection. Fall detection is achieved by integrating a three-axis gyroscope and a three-axis accelerometer. The system gathers the differential data collected by the gyroscope and accelerometer, applies artificial intelligence algorithms for model training and constructs an effective model for fall detection. To provide easy wearing and effective position detection, it is designed as a small device attached to the user’s waist. Experiment results have shown that the accuracy of the proposed fall detection model is up More >
