    Silk Fibroin-Based Hydrogel for Multifunctional Wearable Sensors

    Abstract The flexible wearable sensors with excellent stretchability, high sensitivity and good biocompatibility are signifi- cantly required for continuously physical condition tracking in health management and rehabilitation monitoring. Herein, we present a high-performance wearable sensor. The sensor is prepared with nanocomposite hydrogel by using silk fibroin (SF), polyacrylamide (PAM), polydopamine (PDA) and graphene oxide (GO). It can be used to monitor body motions (including large-scale and small-scale motions) as well as human electrophysiological (ECG) signals with high sensitivity, wide sensing range, and fast response time.     Abstract Glioma is the most common malignant tumor of the central nervous system, and it is characterized by high relapse and fatality rates and poor prognosis. Bufalin is one of the main ingredients of Chan-su, a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) extracted from toad venom.     Abstract Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) frequently occurs in lymphoma patients receiving R-CHOP, a drug combination therapy. Although severe CIPN may lead to reduction and/or discontinuation of the medication, predictive factors of CIPN have not been investigated sufficiently to date. We performed a retrospective exploratory research to determine associations between prevalence of severe CIPN and sociodemographic data, health characteristics, and medical conditions such as anemia at initial diagnosis.     Abstract Several hydrogels were synthesized by free-radical polymerization in an aqueous medium based on potato starch (PS), poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA), and N,N′-Methylenebisacrylamide (MBAm), being possible to study these hydrogels as a function of the proportion of components incorporated.     Abstract The hydrogel is a preferred material for flexible wearable sensors. In practical application, it should have high-efficiency mechanical toughness and self-healing performance.     Abstract The characteristics of soil treated with cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM) mass content of 0%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8%, and 1% were investigated through a series of laboratory tests to explore the practical engineering effect of an expansive soil amended with environmental protection material CPAM. The results indicate that with the increasing CPAM content, the liquid limit and plasticity index of soil decrease, the plastic limit increases, and the free swelling ratio and loaded swelling ratio decrease.     Abstract A series of thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE) and thermoplastic poly(ester amide)s elastomer (TPEaE) copolymers were obtained by depolymerizing PET (polyethylene terephthalate) by which the waste PET can be efficiently recovered and recycled into value-added products from a practical and economical point of view.     Abstract It has been proved that introducing isocyanurate into polymer chains could improve the flame retardancy of polymers. We describe in this work the synthesis and the thermal property study of three thermoplastic polyisocyanurates, which are polyisocyanuratoamide (PICA-6), polyisocyanurato(ester amide) (PICEA-6) and polyisocyanurato(urea ester) (PICUE-6). These polymers show similar and improved thermal stability with the existence of isocyanurate rings.
