A Bibliometric Analysis Unveils Valuable Insights into the Past, Present, and Future Dynamics of Plant Acclimation to Temperature

Yong Cui, Yongju Zhao, Shengnan Ouyang, Changchang Shao, Liangliang Li, Honglang Duan*

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.93, No.2, pp. 291-312, 2024, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2024.047281 - 27 February 2024

Abstract Plant temperature acclimation is closely related to maintaining a positive carbon gain under future climate change. However, no systematic summary of the field has been conducted. Based on this, we analyzed data on plant temperature acclimation from the Web of Science Core Collection database using bibliometric software R, RStudio and VOSviewer. Our study demonstrated that a stabilized upward trajectory was noted in publications (298 papers) from 1986 to 2011, followed by a swift growth (373 papers) from 2012 to 2022. The most impactful journals were Plant Cell and Environment, boasting the greatest count of worldwide citations… More >

Greedy-Genetic Algorithm Based Video Data Scheduling Over 5G Networks

    E. Elamaran1,*, B. Sudhakar2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.32, No.3, pp. 1467-1477, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.020625 - 09 December 2021

Abstract Essential components in wireless systems are schedulin and resource allocation. The problems in scheduling refers to inactive users in a given time slot and in terms of resource allocation it refers to the issues in the allocation of physical layer resources such as power and bandwidth among the active users. In the Long Time Evolution (LTE) downlink scheduling the optimized problem refers to the flow deadlines that incorporate the formulation in the surveyed scheduling algorithm for achieving enhanced performance levels. The major challenges appear in the areas of quality and bandwidth constrains in the video… More >

Effect of Putrescine on Low-Temperature Acclimation in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii

    Muslum S. Inal1,2, Dilek Unal1,*, Bengu Turkyilmaz Unal3,*, Munir Ozturk4

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.3, pp. 583-598, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.018223 - 26 October 2021

Abstract Putrescine is reported to be necessary for cold acclimation under low-temperature stress. In this study, the effect of low-temperature on some physiological and biochemical parameters has been investigated using the green algae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. The lipid peroxidation rate, amount of Rubisco protein, activities of antioxidant enzymes and gene expression of polyamine biosynthesis (odc2, and spd1), heat shock proteins (hsp70c, hsp90a, and hsp90c), and PSII repair mechanisms (psba, rep27, and tba1) were determined to understand the low-temperature response. Exogenous putrescine application significantly increased Rubisco protein concentration and catalase enzyme activities under low-temperature stress. Moreover, real-time RT-PCR results and gene expression analysis… More >

Microcutting culture and morpho-physiological changes during acclimation in two Lycium chilense cytotypes

PABLO HORACIO MASEDA1, JORGE HUGO LEMCOFF1, MERCEDES MURÚA2, NORA FRAYSSINET3, MARTA SUSANA CARCELLER1†

    BIOCELL, Vol.28, No.3, pp. 271-277, 2004, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2004.28.271

Abstract Lycium chilense, a deciduous perennial shrub, is one of the endangered native species of Patagonia due to sheep overgrazing. Chances of recolonization by seeds are scarce due to the limited density of propagules in the soil and very specific requirements for germination. The objective was to develop an in vitro propagation protocol that would help to perform reestablishment of this species in degraded areas of the Patagonian steppe. Seeds came from two provenances with different somatic number due to differences in ploidy level. Defoliated microcuttings were planted in test tubes with different growing media and taken to More >
