A Virtual Cloud Storage Architecture for Enhanced Data Security

    M. Antony Joans Kumar1,*, C. Christopher Columbus2, E. Ben George3, T. Ajith Bosco Raj4

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 1735-1747, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.025906 - 15 June 2022

Abstract The sensitive data stored in the public cloud by privileged users, such as corporate companies and government agencies are highly vulnerable in the hands of cloud providers and hackers. The proposed Virtual Cloud Storage Architecture is primarily concerned with data integrity and confidentiality, as well as availability. To provide confidentiality and availability, the file to be stored in cloud storage should be encrypted using an auto-generated key and then encoded into distinct chunks. Hashing the encoded chunks ensured the file integrity, and a newly proposed Circular Shift Chunk Allocation technique was used to determine the… More >

A New Reliable System For Managing Virtual Cloud Network

    Samah Alshathri1,*, Fatma M. Talaat2, Aida A. Nasr3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.3, pp. 5863-5885, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.026547 - 28 July 2022

Abstract Virtual cloud network (VCN) usage is popular today among large and small organizations due to its safety and money-saving. Moreover, it makes all resources in the company work as one unit. VCN also facilitates sharing of files and applications without effort. However, cloud providers face many issues in managing the VCN on cloud computing including these issues: Power consumption, network failures, and data availability. These issues often occur due to overloaded and unbalanced load tasks. In this paper, we propose a new automatic system to manage VCN for executing the workflow. The new system called More >

A Hybrid Virtual Cloud Learning Model during the COVID-19 Pandemic

    Shaymaa E. Sorour1,*, Tamer M. Kamel2, Hanan E. Abdelkader3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.66, No.3, pp. 2671-2689, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.014395 - 28 December 2020

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the educational systems worldwide, leading to the near-total closures of schools, universities, and colleges. Universities need to adapt to changes to face this crisis without negatively affecting students’ performance. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to identify and help solve to critical challenges and factors that influence the e-learning system for Computer Maintenance courses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The paper examines the effect of a hybrid modeling approach that uses Cloud Computing Services (CCS) and Virtual Reality (VR) in a Virtual Cloud Learning Environment (VCLE) system. The VCLE system… More >
