    Border Sensitive Knowledge Distillation for Rice Panicle Detection in UAV Images

    Abstract Research on panicle detection is one of the most important aspects of paddy phenotypic analysis. A phenotyping method that uses unmanned aerial vehicles can be an excellent alternative to field-based methods. Nevertheless, it entails many other challenges, including different illuminations, panicle sizes, shape distortions, partial occlusions, and complex backgrounds.     Enhancing Dense Small Object Detection in UAV Images Based on Hybrid Transformer

    Abstract Transformer-based models have facilitated significant advances in object detection. However, their extensive computational consumption and suboptimal detection of dense small objects curtail their applicability in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) imagery. Addressing these limitations, we propose a hybrid transformer-based detector, H-DETR, and enhance it for dense small objects, leading to an accurate and efficient model.
