Nabila Eka Yuningsih, Latifa Ariani, Suprapto Suprapto, Ita Ulfin, Harmami Harmami, Hendro Juwono, Yatim Lailun Ni’mah*

    Journal of Renewable Materials, Vol.12, No.5, pp. 981-992, 2024, DOI:10.32604/jrm.2024.049109 - 17 July 2024

Abstract In this research, activated carbon from mangosteen peel has been synthesized using sulfuric acid as an activator. The adsorption performance of the activated carbon was optimized using malachite green dye as absorbate. Malachite green dye waste is a toxic and non-biodegradable material that damages the environment. Optimization of adsorption processes was carried out using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) with a Box-Behnken Design (BBD). The synthesized activated carbon was characterized using FTIR and SEM instruments. The FTIR spectra confirmed the presence of a sulfonate group (-SOH) in the activated carbon, indicating that the activation process using… More >

    Saqer S. Alja’Afreh1,*, Mallak H. Alshamaileh1, Eqab Almajali2, Jawad Yousaf3, Amir Altaf4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.2, pp. 3181-3198, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.029863 - 16 June 2022

Abstract Due to the limited space and large mutual coupling levels, the design of sub-6 GHz massive Multi-Input Multi-Output (m-MIMO) smartphone antenna system attracts antennas’ designers and engineers worldwide. Therefore, this paper presents 18-element m-MIMO antenna system that covers the long-term evolution 42 (LTE42) frequency band (3.4–3.6 GHz) for the fifth generation (5G) applications in metallic frame smartphones. The proposed array system is etched on the long sides of a metal rim of the mobile chassis symmetrically, which is electrically connected to the system ground plane with zero ground clearance. A low-profile frame of height 7… More >

ESSD: Energy Saving and Securing Data Algorithm for WSNs Security

    Manar M. Aldaseen1, Khaled M. Matrouk1, Laiali H. Almazaydeh2,*, Khaled M. Elleithy3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.2, pp. 3969-3981, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.028520 - 16 June 2022

Abstract The Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are characterized by their widespread deployment due to low cost, but the WSNs are vulnerable to various types of attacks. To defend against the attacks, an effective security solution is required. However, the limits of these networks’ battery-based energy to the sensor are the most critical impediments to selecting cryptographic techniques. Consequently, finding a suitable algorithm that achieves the least energy consumption in data encryption and decryption and providing a highly protected system for data remains the fundamental problem. In this research, the main objective is to obtain data security… More >

Performance Enhancement of PV Based Boost Cascaded Fifteen Level Inverter for AC Loads

    M. P. Viswanathan*, B. Anand

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.42, No.1, pp. 165-181, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.020400 - 02 December 2021

Abstract In this research work, single-stage fifteen levels cascaded DC-interface converter (CDDCLC) is proposed for sun arranged photovoltaic technology (PV) applications. The proposed geography is joined with help DC chopper and H-associate inverter to upgrade the power converter to accomplish the diminished harmonic profile. In assessment with the customary inverter structures, the proposed system is used with diminished voltage stress, decreased switch count and DC source tally. The proposed research work with cascaded DC link converter design requires three DC sources for combining fifteen-level AC output. This investigation structure switching technique is phase opposition and disposition More >

Teensensor: Gaussian Processes for Micro-Blog Based Teen’S Acute and Chronic Stress Detection

    Yuanyuan Xue1,2, Qi Li1, LingFeng1

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.34, No.3, pp. 151-164, 2019, DOI:10.32604/csse.2019.34.151

Abstract Stress is a common problem all over the world. More and more teenagers today have to cope with different stressor events coming from school, family, peer relation, self-cognition, romantic relation, etc. Over-stress without proper guidance will lead to a series of potential problems including physical and mental disorders, and even suicide due to the shortage of teen’ s psychological endurance and controllability. Therefore, it is necessary and important to timely sense adolescents’ stress and help them release the stress properly. In this paper, we present a micro-blog based system called TeenSensor, aiming to detect teens… More >

A Pathway to Explore the Hidden Specialty in the Design of Fifteen Level Inverter in Grid Connected PV System

    C. Gopinath1, *, M. Rajvikram1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.115, No.3, pp. 359-386, 2018, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2018.06143

Abstract This research paper proposes a single phase fifteen level inverter for a grid connected PV system. The proposed inverter is also called cascaded asymmetric multilevel inverter. By adopting appropriate hybrid modulation technique improved output voltage is obtained with minimum number of power electronic switches. By reducing the number of gate triggering circuits of the switches, the size and power consumption of the driving circuits can be reduced. The total harmonic distortion of the output of the inverter is improved by this inverter. The proposed inverter developed by cascading a full bridge inverter with modified H More >
